Rangerbook06
They recover an onside kick, have a big gainer and then throw a bomb and receiver runs another 30 yards for TD. Everything's bigger in Texas, evidently including the football fields. Yeah, but if you really watched it, look at from wher ha throws the ball from. It looks like (at least from that camra angle) the QB droped all the way back to almost his own 20 LOL... Oh well, it made it exciting! donathan5507
SPOILERS. Don't read this if you don't want to find out what happens. i thought that this show was terrible. the football acting was absurd. watch the backup quarterback's motions...awful. everything about it was ridiculous. every hit was a kill shot. you could tell something bad was going to happen to the QB because they focused on him for like ten minutes on a 3rd and 7 play...and then he gets paralyzed. Dumb. Did anybody notice that the coach for that other team was also used as a football coach in The Replacements? Type-casting maybe? I won't watch this show again. Too unrealstic. Plus, why would you make a TV show based on a movie based on a book?

bellgo
After watching the first episode, I thought it was just ok, but a little boring to me. I prefer the movie. I also like Two-A-Days on MTV much better. Edited October 9, 2006 by bellgo

I flipped over to DSC and watched a documentary on the possibility of life in the frozen oceans of Jupiters largest moon and it was a more interesting. What a waste of time and money. Terrible B-rated actors overacting their parts. Too stereotypical. I would love to see a REAL 17 year old white girl back talk a black boys momma after she caught them half naked on her couch. Thats when I turned it. Hollywood has a way of trying to make all of us believe they know how life REALLY is.
montague1
um yeah. he was MIKE DITKA Dick Butkus was the supposed coach and that was more made for t.v. than anything. The original head coach was always in control of the team, and Butkus left before the season was even over. Who was the head coach? Why did he leave before the season ended. Friday Night Lights gets better each week, I'm really starting to get into it. Yes the game action is a little overdone, but its hollywood. I wonder if it is going to be a one season thing or if it will continue.
