This district will be very balanced this season. Predictions will be hard but here we go:

1. Upperman Coach McWilliams does a very good job and his teams always play hard.

2. Livingston Returing a great player in freshman of the year in Chase Dunn, this team will be very good by tourney timde.

3. Cannon County People say how, after a 1-29 season, but saw them at MTSU and they a re a different team. Also heard from a coach in the district that they added a player from Coffee County that will help.

4. Smith County Good shooter in Sanders and a streaky player with Rively.

5. Dekalb County Always play hard and will fed of off last year.

6. York Coach does a very good job and Jamestowen is always a tough place to play.

7. Macon County losing Stinson will be a tough person to replace. This may not be a fair assesment of the Tigers but I do not know enouigh about there other players.

Not being biased towards my school or anything but Dekalb deserves to be ranked higher than fifth. They are bringing back some key players from last year and some very talented fresmen, they will play much better D. Cannon will struggle again this year. They will finish last in the district once again but will be much more competitive.

I agree Dekalb should be ranked higher than 5th. Cannon may not finish last but I think at the highest they will finish 5th.

Dekalb will be good becasue they play hard, but I think that they lost a lot of key players off of last years team to compete in the top three, I may be wrong but we will see. York and Macon will be young and could make a run this distirct I think is the most balanced from top to bottom as I have ever seen it. Cannon will have a shot at the top three or four. Smith will be good as long as they stay healthy. Upperman and Livingston are just ahead of everyone else in this district as of right now, but that's why we play the games.

    • No reasonable lawyer would take up this case. I am not a lawyer, but I know school law in and out.  Similar situations just like this play out thousands of times each year across the country, even at the college level (i.e. Ole Miss)  The Plaintiff's never win...ever.  If I am wrong, please provide a legal precedent for me. I will be waiting.  https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/39431892/judge-drops-ole-miss-player-lawsuit-lane-kiffin
    • Yes Justin Cruse was named head coach
    • It used to be, I think it still is, a change of 20% +/- gives reason to reclassify. Schools can choose to play up classifications but not down. Here is the mid cycle reclassification info on TSSAA.org When Memphis East changed from a regular public school to an "all-optional" school in 2017 the would've dropped to A but chose to stay in AAA in basketball (baseball, and softball) Penny was still coaching there and with the players they had they would've beaten A teams by 40 and slept walked to the championship. Other Memphis schools stayed in their classifications (mostly in basketball) until the next reclassification cycle. Of course this is the same time that a 4th class was added basketball.
