Last year the score was close at the half and the boone fans were shocked that the falcons was giving them a run for there money dont count the falcons out just yet there may be an upset in Gray. BOO-YAH

 

 

Yeah i seen him play a couple times in high school. He pretty good quickness for a guy his size. I love watching him play tho. I hope to see good things outta him and duke crews at tennessee this year.

Wayne and Crews will both start since the Vols are short-handed in the frontcourt with the dismissal of Wingate from the team bc of drug issues.

It will be a toss up between Chism and Childress. 1. Smith 2. Lofton 3. Bradshaw 4. Crews 5. Chism/Childress

 

Likely be Childress just cause he has more experience. Will be Chism by Jan. I was impressed when he played against Wright. He can really shoot the 3ball.

Wayne was underrated by many people in high school. I'd like to see him do a good job and start at UT. He's a hard worker and I hope it pays off for him.

I've been to 3 practices so far. Right now the starters are 1) Romar Smith or Marques Johnson 2)Lofton 3) JuJuan Smith 4)Bradshaw 5) Crews

 

Chism has looked very good but Coach Pearl won't play them both together early unless there are unusual circumstances. Chism probably has more basketball skills and size but Crews is a MAN among boys. He is a chiseled 6'7" 250-260. Both are trying to adjust to how physical the level of play is. There have been some really physical battles in the drills I've watched. Chism will play significant minutes don't worry. He's moves very well and a great passer which Pearl loves and once he gets his mitts on a rebound it is his. Without knocking him though, he seems a little soft. He really doesn't like getting banged around. Pearl made it a point to the younger guys that it was going to be much more physical in practice than they would see in the games. He was even joking about one of the freshmen waiving a white flag to get out of a box out drill because he couldn't get 3 rebounds in a row in an individual drill to rotate out. Freshman make good floor mops. Don't think they've ever been subjected to people just throwing them down fighting for the ball.

I got no doubt about Ramar Smith or Marques Johnson. Smith will start. Also, Chism will get the nod! Mark these words, my friend!

Wayne has got some serious size and skill. I don't know how his game has gotten in the last 2 years, he wasn't starting material then, but now I wouldn't be surprised.

Chism and JuJuan Smith come directly off the bench along with Josh Tabb, Tony Passley, and Marques Johnson.

 

Chism could start midway through the season. I wish we still had Wingate and Damion Harris. Why did he(Harris) transfer?

 

Who is coming in next year? Who are we recruiting besides Mo Miller(Memphis bound likely)? Cordell Passley is real good that we are looking at in '08. He is Tony's younger brother that has already committed.
