ACCORDING TO WARREN COUNTY OFFICIALS THEY WANTED TO MOVE THIS GAME TO TONIGHT TO AVOID THE 2-4" THAT IS COMING ON FRIDAY NIGHT.

GO PIONEERS!!!

Last time they did that (Cookeville game 2004) they played in a downpour and the next night (Friday night) the rain had stopped and all had begun to dry. Some will never learn.

Thats the same that happened to Powell and Halls that year. Hurricane Ivan made it very difficult to play that game. One of the FGs looked like it was going to be good but the gusting wind made it look like it hit a wall and it fell way short. At half alot of ppl went home to change clothes bc they were soaked.also the rain looked like this...\\\\\\...but more diagonal

Just got home from the game, which C.C. won I believe 28-7, I left mid-way through the fourth qt.

W.C. had several chances to score in the first half and didn't connect on any of them. A blocked punt that they recovered inside the C.C. 20 and also a long run by the W.C. qb. and then he fumbled on the C.C. 5 yard line, and the defense gave up at least a couple of long pass plays where the C.C. player just either out-jumped or beat the W.C. d.b.

Congrats to C.C., you played a very good game in the weather conditions especially. You have the ability to give anyone you play in the playoffs problems with your offense and a pretty good defense.

Any yes, it rained pretty hard the entire game, so much for missing the rain! :)

Great game Raiders second best game of the season... Warren County scored with 2:15 left in the 4th when our third-string QB fumbled the snap.

Defense played lights out!

Who would have been the 2nd string QB? The QB starter was in until the play before the fumble...I think.

(CC played really good and WC didn't so were not happy over here). :)

    • Never said I thought it was a smart decision. I'm scratching my head at it too.
    • If he wanted to play QB he should have either went to Heritage or William Blount and had a real good chance there. In stead he'll be exactly what he was going to be at Maryville. They already know who their QB is going to be in 2025 and it ain't going to be him.
    • Easier said than done. The man who ran for 250+ yards and 3TDs is gonna be back….and a lot bigger.
    • plus it removes the pressure around winning.
    • You are correct.   The teacher's pay scale is virtually the same in Knox County, now, as it is at Oak Ridge.   The coaching supplements are still higher at Oak Ridge, from what I was told, but not a huge difference.   Plus, Rusty is going from a position coach to an OC position, which is what he was at South Doyle and where his comfort zone is.  And from a special education teaching slot to a PE teaching slot.  There is a lot of positivity in that move without even considering the coaching aspect.   Anybody who sees something negative here is just looking for negativity to begin with.  But some live in that world.   Really good hire for Brent.  He now has two experienced and quality coordinators and can concentrate on being a head football coach.
