Why are we scrimmaging 3a teams instead of the big boys like we used to? How much of a challenge does Union Co. give us?

You can't always get the bigger schools, but with Union County and Halls being fairly close to each other it would seem as if KJ is going with teams in the area, just like AC. They got Gibbs in the regular season, so no need to scrimmage in preseason. Halls and Carter use to play each other and Carter's been pretty decent over the years, as has AC. Wonder how ol' LL will treat the former team. Kinda surprised Julian went with AC, but should be interesting nonetheless. What I really can't wait on though is to see the boys in the scrimmages this spring. Been hearing many good things throughout the community. Anyone know if they're gettin close to startin that new fieldhouse? They sure could use it.

We currently have only about half the money needed to build the new fieldhouse.

It's time for the Halls community to step up & put some money where their mouth is.

The new fieldhouse is not just for football. The weight room, training, media, & team rooms will be used by ALL sports.

The only areas of the new fieldhouse off limits to other sports will be the football locker room, for obvious reasons.

If the Halls community really wants to help take the sports programs to a higher level & provide our kids the nessessary facilities to do it, we must come together & quit bickering, backstabbing, & complaining & do something about it.

We have a great opportuity in the next few years to see something very special happen for our kids & community.

Now is the time for all those community park parents (baseball & football) whose kids will use this facility to step up.

Now is the time for all those Halls businesses that "talk" like Red Devil boosters to really show it.

Now is the time for ALL those former Red Devils to step up.

Agreed good post Highball. With the interest of Halls Football reaching new heights. This would be a welcomed facility for years to come by the local merchants. It seems it would be a win win for everyone involved if we could accomplish the funding on a short timetable. I hope it is entertained by people with deep pockets that see the need for this important project. With what I hear with 160 to 170 football players at Halls its really needed right away.

Pretty simple really. Keep the better athletes at home with a better facility. With these numbers everyone wins with the spinoff of patronizing local merchants that had a big hand in helping the school along with this venture. Everyone likes new...... and couple that with state of the art even better. Halls is growing like no other and with commercial interest helping the cause its all win as I see it. With the local merchants reaping the rewards for years to come from great PR from being there when they could help at the start of the venture. Truely a sweetspot ready to be taken advantage off.

    • Apparently he sucked as a recruiter too. Lol
    • so the players dad who is a recruiter is now at Oakland?
    • We are optimistic because we will have another great season. You should keep your opinions on your Forrest Rocket board. These kiddos at Marion have had an amazing off season. They are working hard and it is showing. Coach TStark is getting these kids scholarships to get their college for free. Also Coach Harm is back so this is another awesome thing for our kiddos. Forrest will get theirs when they come to Bill Baxter Stadium this season. My main men Sam, Tay and Tilton are going to do amazing things this season. You should just watch and see what these kiddos are capable of doing. The Marion County Warriors are a force to be reckoned with again this year. East Robertson will be a good team again but that is the only big challenge this team will have again. If we can beat East Robertson like I know we can then we will go to the state championship and win the game. As always it is a great day to be a warrior. Go Warriors! We are Marion!
    • The player is only able to go because of the coach who is his dad. The dad is a recruiter not a good coach. HC blamed him for losing the Clinton game in the playoffs.
