did the halls super midgets win their playoff game today? are there two divisions in super midgets now? i saw something in the pilot high school preview magazine that had halls, powell and central super midgets undefeated. how can that be?

 

I know someone who has a kid on the team.

 

The Halls Super Midgets playoff game was postponed due to the field conditions at the Halls field. They moved the game to Tuesday night. Now my friend tells me that they have moved it again because of Halloween. Thursday night at 6:30 is the new time at Halls High School, with the championship game on Saturday at 11:00 at John Tarleton.

 

There are 2 divisions. Halls is in the second one. This team has struggled in the past but are having a great year. This team has some good athletes and one remarkable running back that could make a huge impact by the time he plays for the Big Red. The team finished 8-0 in their division. They have played some of the upper division teams in bowl games and played them very close, winning 1 of them.

 

I think the Powell team now has one loss in the upper division.

I am not sure about the Soph. but the Freshmen have a couple of big guys and a couple more that are stronger than average IMO.

I heard that # 2- Jarred "tex" Clemons, and # 24- Jordan Allen, two of powells key players might be moving to halls next season. That would be a GREAT addition to the red devils

Why are the BOTH moving, If its just for athletics I think they will have to sit out a year unless both familys move.

I'm pretty sure Allen lives on the border line of both schools and I guess Tex would just move out there. Heck if I was them I would go there cuz I think Halls will be pretty good next season.

That surely isn't why Lee Smith, Kenny Cruze, and Baron Huber moved from Central to Powell...

well kenny moved to powell cuz he got into some trouble at central. But i dont know why Lee and Baron moved to powell. What would you do if you were in Allen and Clemons shoes?

Stay at the school, dont worry, im sure there will be a transfer to powell, Halls isnt giong to state next year and neither of these guys are going to get scholorhips, they should stay where they are.

 

I wouldnt want to play for lowe though so that may be a valid point

Well I'm sure they could at least play for a D2 college if they really wanted too. It was actually some halls guys that were telling me this and if i was them i would try to get em over cuz they would be a good addition to the team. But I dont know, it could be some stupid little high school rumor.

I have no problem with tex, but with his size at 5-8 180

 

Just remember how hard it is to get a scholorhip.

 

Derek Milligan who broke a lot of records at Powell, Couldnt play football at the college level (well he did for 1 preseason game and then switched to baseball, which now he no longer plays either from what I can tell)

 

Its hard to make it to college in anysport I whish them the best of luck.
