Hendersonville is looking good I say they win this one 21-14. It doesn't matter if HL beat them last time this is a different game and its a playoff game which is way more intense. So I say this will be a good game. If the defense plays as good as they played against Franklin, it might be a bigger difference between scores but either way hendersonville come out with the win.

Actually, at the end of the game Hunters Lane will do what they have done for several years. They will ask their opponents to be in a group prayer, win or lose. No one from Hunters Lane will taunt or put down their opponent regardless of the outcome.

Well put. Yes even after defeating Hendersonville 2 weeks ago all of the players dispersed between one another at midfield and said a prayer as one. It is a great thing to give God all the glory and i was very proud of Hunters Lane for the gesture.

Yea thats really a wonderful thing HL does it shows HL has class, and doesn't shove it in their opponets face.

Take nothing away from Hendrsonvilles win over Franklin, but it was as much Franklins mistakes (fumbles and penalties) that cost them as much as H'villes defense.

I know - you make your own breaks, and h'ville get's cudo's for the strip of the ball on the first play from scrimmage after a 75 yard scamper, but the 3 turnovers ater that were poorly executed handoff's and lack of protecting the ball.

But as I said in the H'ville Franklin thread - Congrats to Hendersonville on a well executed game plan, and playing with controlled emotion.

If they execute as well Friday, I see Hendesonville in the Qtr's.

As to CHS2007 laughing as you go by Franklin High - keep on chuckling until you loose again to Franklin and keep the winless streak alive!

The Warriors of Hunters Lane respsect Hendersonville and the way they play the game. Hendersonville works hard, plays hard, prepares well, is sportsmanlike and classy, and they do things the right way. We are honored to have the opportunity to face them in week #12.

Please excuse the other HLHS, he is not representative of our team with his bragging and lack of grammatical skills. Coach C always tells us to be Warriors in the classroom, community, and playing fields. He demands that we be classy and sportsmanlike at all times. If I knew which of my teammates were embarassing us like this, I would correct him. I'll begin my search in the special needs classes.

hunterslane beat them two weeks ago an are gonna beat them again poor tackling by h-ville will lead ot their defeat i guess you guys forgot that HL won 14-12 last time but it will be a good game an it wont be a blowout either

hl got lucky hhs didnt make good tackles like u said it was won cause they didnt tackle well if they would have wrapped up hhs would have shut them down and hhs scored twice in a matter of 3 mins if they would have played hard continuously through out the game they would have prevailed

    • Did this happen? Does anyone know? Ripley has their HC job posted on the bulletin board over the weekend.
    • Coalfield definitely isn't the same team they've had the past few years. They are still the favorites to make it out of their region because of their pitching. They have 1 arm that sits low to mid 80s and 2 other arms that are mid to high 70s with good off speed stuff. If you can avoid their top 3 bats in their lineup then you have a shot to beat them. Their 4-9 hitters are average at best. Wartburg's ace was able to shut them down last week in the game Wartburg won 4-2.
    • It is the longest season. Plus, 30 games a year. No Christmas break. I would say basketball is the most time consuming.
    • No movement on Chester? South Gibson? Gibson County?
    • Winfree's senior year was the season she needed to secure more college interest. That opportunity was taken away from her. A lot of false assumptions can be made about what happened and what the options are. Unfortunately, the former coach and administration did not allow Winfree to have due process. A lawsuit was filed for a reason, and it will run its course by people who conduct discovery and take depositions. Unless the parties settle out of court, a lot of the pertinent issues will come to the public surface. I wrote about many of the issues here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/11/17/grounds-for-investigation-and-suspension/ I interviewed Winfree after she was dismissed from the team and wrote about it here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/12/01/a-new-interview-with-sable-winfree/ Winfree had been on teams in Warren County since the fourth grade and never been dismissed from a team. The real questions are why was Winfree dismissed from the team, and why the administration backed a coach whom they did not rehire.
