now hendersonville has dedicated coaches so I am sure all those problems have been kinked out. there was something i saw even from the stands of the franklin game they werent overly excited just standing there quiet but you could tell a confidence. If the team can concentrate and protect the corners looking good. i am a superstitious man though and when hhs is predicted to loose they win. so i am going with HLHS :thumb:

go mandos

Big win for HL...first time in school history to reach the third rd of the playoffs. A defensive struggle for both teams in the second half...neither team could move the ball much. Warriors had their way on the ground in the first half, with Clay racking up 117 yard on 6 carries. Kennerly had both touchdowns for the Warriors, one rush and one receiving.

Hendersonville played an excellent ball game as well. Wing T was working most of the night...keeping Hunters Lane's defense on its heels all night long. Their defense was very successful in the 2nd half. Roper was the leading rusher with 54 yards on 10 carries for the Commandos.

Good luck to Hunters Lane next week when they host Ravenwood, and congrats to Hendersonville on a good season, and a excellent run in the playoffs.

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
