BA v Baylor

No way will Cooper wear out. He gets 200 yards and will help Baylor grind out a victory and upset.

The past is prelude to the future. Look at his stats in both the McC and BA games. He's playing both ways. Against Franklin County, Central, etc it doesn't matter. Against BA and McC, he carried 2 and 3 tacklers every running play and then played good defense. McC adjusted for him and he tired. He's an excellent back - at least the second best in Chatt.

Only stat wise is he the 2nd best back in Chattanooga and you know it. If you are going to go by stats which you are then BJ is what the 4th best GB in Chattanooga. Obviously you can't go by the stats alone...or do you think that is where BJ belongs. I don't in either case. Cooper is the best back and BJ is the best QB for this year. Or are you just an stats guy?

you gotta watch uncfan13. He says that Cooper is the second best back in town. He may mean that BJ is the best back and Cooper is the second best back. Or he may mean Scruggs is the best-better than Cooper.

If he is saying BJ is the best back and Cooper is the second best back, it would make for a good argument. If he is saying Scruggs is better than Cooper, he's just trying to get a rise out of the Baylor fans.

Which is it uncfan13?

I agree Chattcity. uncfan13 is so biased to McCallie, and we are all towards our school but we try to make sense and be rational. You may have a point but even is he is comparing BJ to Cooper I am not so sure. Position wise Cooper is equal or better. If he is talking about Chas does he realize that Cooper is rated #5 fullback in the nation by Unapproved Website???? Anyway, uncfan13 is just trying to get a rise and is best left ignored. Go Red Bank

Good question! The point is, Baylor asks a lot from Cooper. Against inferior teams (at least 9 of them) it worked. Against BA and McC, he was worn down by the fourth. Cooper is an outstanding back but going both ways against BA and McC is a lot to ask.

As indicated in the past couple years Cooper has struggled rushing the ball against Brentwood Academy's physical defense...Tennessean.com shows that Baylor only rushed for 37 yards the last meeting...and the Eagles have held all but three opponents under 100 yards rushing the entire season.

BA has kept the rushing yardage in check this year. If you review

the first meeting, Baylor (and Cooper) had success with the short

pass. The number of times (and yards) Cooper had by releasing

at the line of scrimmage for the short pass was rediculous. Hopefully,

BA will not repeat this problem from the first game.

I believe that Baylor is playing at their peak and could upset BA's

quest for gold ball number 10. That being said, I still believe that

coach Flatt gets his 10th gold ball in 2006. Look for a close game

early but BA wins by 10 and meets McCallie in the championship.
