cbg
Good work. Although things have drasticly changed over recent years. I would say East TN domination. Am I wrong? Did you mean to say that Middle Tennessee dominated the last 25 years? Look at the facts. State Championships: Middle Tennessee 17 The other Tennessee Regions 8 2nd place finishes: Middle Tennessee 14 The other Tennessee Regions
itzme
Largest Attendance: 1988 Dickson County vs Oakland 32,000 (The TSSAA no longer publishes the attendance on their website) I think there's a reason they no longer publish attendance... Seriously though, the state championship games drew much larger crowds before they were eliminated in favor of the 8 bowl games we have today. 2priceless
Yes, it should have read 1988 and not 1998. I added Rhea County to Knoxville & East Tennessee. Would they not be closer to Knoxville than Chattanooga? Oakland BEAT Hendersonville in 98 for the gold. The DC/ OHS game was absolutely amazing. It was a sea of solid orange on one side and REd, red, red on ours. Great atmosphere and one of the best and vocal crowds I have ever seen.
