orcat why are you so worried about this situation? Stop trying to search for information and trying to start trouble. AC got beat by Loudon because it was at Loudon and there girls wanted it more that night. Stop blaming loses on coach's. Give the AC coach a break, he will be down this year even though he plays in a week district because kids quit the program and went to other schools. There is no coach that likes to lose and doesnt try his or her best to prepare his team for everygame.

It wasnt the coaches fault Dupree missed a shot, however, in the district championship against Loudon, it was the coaches fault for losing that game. AC was behind at the half, the second half he started getting the ball inside to Faith and her sister and they caught up and even went ahead, once he got the lead, he quit pushing it inside and let his daughter start shooting 3's which she missed most of them, then he pulled Faith out in the 4th qtr and basically let the game get out of control and ended up losing. Anyone watching that game knows they lost because of the coaches, period

One thing that is sure. I've been posting for a few years and Anytime you get AC and whoever discussing anything, there is a knockdown battle. there is never a middle point in the discussion. The only thing more dramatic is to get someone from Knoxville Catholic involved in the same discussion. Hope your schools don't wear each other out in the discussion. Would you consider competing in debate? Now that would be teriffic.

Anderson County is loaded with talent this year, and should win the region. They play in a weak district, and no one will push them until the regional finals. Yes, losing the Dupree girls hurts, but look at volleyball. The volleyball team lost the Duprees and graduated three other starters losing 5 of their top 6 players. They finished 3rd in the STATE. AC will be fine. Expect another 20 plus win season, and a trip to the buro! AC is L-O-A-D-E-D, and come Christmas will be about 10-2! At AC we have a motto. "We don't rebuild, we reload!"

Is this a joke or are you for real bratman? You actually believe that AC will won't be pushed until the region finals. If Ellis wins 10 games then my hat is off to the man and he should be named coach of the year.

No joke. AC won more than 20 games last year and should win more than 20 this year. First, they play a weak district schedule. Every team in AC's district is down from last year. That will give them alot of wins. They should walk to the district finals, which they should have won last year. Second, there non-district schedule is not that tough. Expect them to go on a long win streak early. Third, and most important, they are loaded with quick athletic players. No one in their region has the athletes that AC has. Granted, AC doesn't have alot of size, but they are quick and athletic. Agressive defense will create points. Expect this team to do very well.

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
