I gotta go with Bruce The Bear Slatten. He has been a head coach for nearly 12 yrs now and has neary won 300 games and also undefeated with perry co in 97. has won 60+ games in past three seasons at Culleoka. Wouldnt be suprised a bit to see Culleoka make the state this yr and for sure next year! Best coach off all time though has to go to George Pitts, u can argue that he had excellent talent, which he did. But i can remember before he got to Brentwood Academy there was a guy by the name of david harrison who currently plays for the indiana pacers. Four years with a 7ft mcdonalds all-american and no state championship.. there is no doubt that if Pittts would have gotten to coach that kid that he would have won atleast 2 championships with him.

Anyone ever heard of Shane Sisco??? Hello!?!?

I don't know about the men's coach But the Ladies coach has to be Warren County's Ann Eades who has a lifetime record of about 80 wins and around 200 losses, and lost 30-40 straight district games in her 1st stint as coach, so they decided to hire her back so she could start another streak. I've lost track on how many district games we have lost in a row in her 2nd stint as coach, as everyone in Warren County obviously has to. Would anyone out there like to hire our coach or school board members ????

You won't find a much better coach or person than Kevin Thomas at Shelbyville. He treats his players with class, they individually get better and better each year, his teams have been consistently very good, and he's sent several players to the collegiate ranks, including most recently Mr. Basketball Barry Stewart at Mississippi State (who could very well win the SEC Freshman of the Year award this year) as well as smooth guard Dequan Twilley at East Tennessee State. In a district where Columbia had dominated for years, Shelbyville has now won two straight district titles, going undefeated two straight years and taking a solid foothold at the top. In the last 5 years, they have been to three sectional games and two state tournaments, including a runner-up finish in 2006 (just a whisker away from defeating unbeaten Hamilton in a championship for the ages!). For a school that has always been known for girls basketball first and foremost, Thomas has built his program into a state contender every year just like the girls program. Just think, this year's team has only one senior and could make it back to the 'Boro again. If not, they still will be very tough to deal with the next couple years. Freshman Emmanuel Andrews is going to be a star and eventually could be even better than Barry Stewart, and that says a lot since Stewart is probably one of the best to ever play there...just watch what he will do in 4 years at Mississippi State. Just goes to show us that success can breed success, whether it be from one program to another or within the same program. I'd put Kevin Thomas up there with anyone!
