Is MBA going to insert Simpson (8th grade) in the lineup or allow Buchanan to wrestle @ 103.

It seems like Overton made some improvements this year. Are they the best public school in Nashville this year? How did Overton do in the Slamfest this year. Not much posted on them at Slamfest. CBG, I saw the MBA 103 down here at the Black Horse Inv a couple of weeks ago. He is not that bad of a wrestler. I think young Simpson (8th) will have trouble beating there 103 now.

Based on the final score that has been posted (35-31 MBA), it looks like you are right. The two DQ's might have been the difference. If both those kids simply lost by a regular decision-----------they did not even have to win------that would have been 6 less points to MBA and Overton wins 31-29. If one had gotten majored, Overton still wins by a point. Were both those matches close enough before the DQs that it looked like the kids would lose by just decisions? Sounds like the 160 might have even won, which would have given Overton the match. If so, that's a hard way to learn that you have to control your temper and keep within the rules on the mat or it will cost your team. Tough way to lose to a big rival.

 

Overton won 8 matches and MBA 6, with Overton having a 6-3 advantage in the weights from 103-152. They are starting to look like the Ibrahim/Jennigs group of a few years back when Overton's strength seemed to be in those weights----Noman was a freshman with that bunch as I recall.
