swanson71 Posted December 27, 2006 Report Share Posted December 27, 2006 (edited) now muffin you and swaney be nice ,you may want the tigers back next year because it's really hard to get teams to play in holiday tourneys (too many, and some tournaments paying teams lodging and expenses to play) really hard to make profit or meet expenses,but good luck to lady bulldogs in KY , They'll be back, i'm sure what me and muff has to say on here won't effect their decision in playing in our tourney next year, but truthfully if the tourney is gonna be like this every year i'd want them to drop it...Noone wants to come to a tourney where RBS blows every one away...We need to get back to the way it used to be...Celina, Westmorland, Portland, HS, and after this year I wouldn't mind seeing Lafayette back up here playing, as long as they behave themselves, but I doubt that can happen... bigguy97 Posted December 27, 2006 Report Share Posted December 27, 2006 don't give us that bullcrap about lafayette "behaving" ourselves. just because some fans have a good natured passion for their school (with a couple of exceptions however) doesn't mean that they are harmful in any way. the rivalry between the two schools is what sports is all about. it brings emotion and pride out in fans and players alike. ask either team if they would like to beat the other and the answer would be a resounding yes. now the reason that laf and rbs aren't playing each other is a lil cloudy but you would have to ask the rbs coach to find out his reasoning. why would you want to lose the money from gates at the laf/rbs games? just for a couple of loses on your record? or maybe even wins, who knows. but this guy knows that it was rbs's decision but i digress...so good luck to the girls in the KY tourny. i am going to watch and will be rooting for ya Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

ITS CRAZY FOR U GUYS NOT TO PLAY, BOTH HAVE VERY GOOD TEAMS AND YOUR FANS DESERVE IT!! IT WOULD DEFINITELY HELP THE STRENGTH OF SCHEDULE FOR BOTH. I HOPE IN THE FUTURE TO SEE YOU GUYS PLAYING. If I recall, RBS had quite a few people get thrown out of lasts years game when Macon beat them by around 20 or so. yeah you beat us by 20 or so, but out of 3 games who won more......and the never have and never will goes both ways...and your right the behaving goes both ways I would want RBS to behave too...yeah you can remember one instance last year of RBS fans getting thrown out, but I can remember an instance of lafayette getting thrown out of a game at RBS last year....the year before...and the year before...and when RBS goes to a game, where do they sit...On there own side and they stay there...and they keep the floor clean during the game too...The one jr high game that was played at RBS this yeat Toilet Paper was thrown...a high school game it's ok, but during a jr high game, and it was high school kids who done it too...But when I said for you all to behave yourselves I just meant nothing thrown on the floor and to stay on their own sides...But this is my last post about the RBS/Lafayette thing because in my own opinion both act like fools...but good luck to you all in the rest of the season... I have been at every LAf and RBS game for the past 5+ years and there has always been something happened whether it was at RBS or Laf that someone from Laf was escorted out! Personally I never minded the toilet paper, it gave RBS a 2-0 lead, I didnt mind the Flashlights, It made the rbs Itro look awesome in fact I had my light out with yall last year, but the bouncing balls were very dangerous as I seen a 2-3 year old child get hit in the head by a quarter size ball throw by a girls basketball player! And another question for you, why was it that last year during the RBS tourney when the RBS student section was getting too loud a LAF mother came to the rescue and told some RBS student to sit down and shut up that they were being to loud behind the bench of LAF? Then not 10 mins later the LAF student thought they should come to the home side and make noise? Look regardless, I think it is all fun and games and I would love to watch RBS beat LAF this year, but it wont hasppen and a big reason why is because the laf FANS! You want to talk about RBS fans getting tossed last year? Ask your assistant Principal about that! HEHE! On the other hand, I am for Laf every game they play as long as they are not playing RBS and I am very impressed by Compton, she is a great player!
