He's no Van Huss but he's a far sight better than the last piece of #%$& coach they had.

Waco hates every D-B coach. Morgan will lead this team back from a bad start now that he has all the pieces in place. D-B will go to the regionals and challenge for a spot in the sub state. He's a good coach and he has a scrappy team. If they don't quit on him, which I don't think they will, they'll be fine.

Morgan has won state championships, quit hating on him. I'm sure Science Hill would love to have him rather than the moron they have right now. WaCoJaCo
A win over a average Science Hill team at home and Morgan is all of the sudden a great coach again. And again, prase comes raining in from opposing fans. How odd. I don't hate the coaches at DB. They are very good men. They are just not the coaches everybody tries to make them out to be. You can argue the point until the cows come home. Their records speak for themselves. A lot of wins over weak teams and a lot of losses to good teams. My problem with Morgan...... I have watched this group of players from the 7th. grade up. They are a great group. The best group at DB since the early 90's. Not just me, but everybody thought they would rule this area this year. Theres not a team that they have played this year that they should of lost to. This team should of at least went to state last year. But I'll give him a pass on that one. Not this year though. He has all but destroyed this team. Oh sure, they'll be a little better now with Sensabaugh back, but this group is much more than a one man team. Keep in mind, there are no good teams in this area. You can't judge a team on how they played as 7th graders. Some kids mature earlier than others. Obviously, you didn't get out much because Science Hill had some pretty awesome teams at that age as well with Wattad, Reid, and Collie. Those teams of the early 90's would kill this team coach or no coach.

This group as freshman were beating teams by 40, 50 points. Now as seniors and playing under Charlie Morgan, their losing to pretty much the same teams. I have come to the conclusion that there is enough talent in upper east tn. for someone to compete on the state level in any given sport every year. The problem is, no good coaches. Can anyone name a active coach in in Northeast Tn. that can compete on the state level. Im talking about the big three, Football, Basketball, Baseball. All of Science Hill's freshman were starting on Varsity. They were really the only team in the Big 9 that had any talent that I can think of. I didn't see much Big 9 freshman games because of Central still being in the Wautaga. On the coaching note, Vaughn is a pretty smart coach. He outcoached everyone last year. We won District with a 6'0 post player.

And this is not just about DB & SH. Its about all teams in North East Tn. As I have said, there are no good coaches in this area. Haven't been since Pitts left. What win did Vaughn have over a good coach last year?
