how can you have culleoka ahead of Moore county when moore county beat them by 8 or 10 and moore county has beaten 2 AAA teams and a couple AA teams as well and lost one game to a single A team.....Cully is good but no way they are ahead of moore county

Because it's my poll...Do your own poll and put Moore County where you want them... :D .....

how many of those teams in your top ten have you seen play yourself???or do you vote by records or hearsay....just asking?

Well since I got a job,and have not won a lottery,I can't really afford to go to every little podunk gym in 1A and watch these teams play....Which by the way NOBODY can....Do you actually think the AP Poll folks go see every team play??..So,just like everybody else that has a vote in a poll,I would have to say I have experience with 3 of the teams....UC,Humboldt and Lake County, the rest would be by what I see on this web-site,in the papers or hear-say......And by the way..Moore County has a strength of schedule ranking near 100..There are only 107 1A teams..Culleoka has a SOS in the mid 20's....Maybe Moore Co needs to beef up the schedule a bit.....Moore Co is also not in the AP Top 10

i don't have a dog in this fight but i do know that moore co. beat culleoka earlier in the year. also, those sos rankings can be misleading.

Here is how I would vote.....

1...Union City(18-3)

2...Lake County(15-5)

3...Temple(16-2)

4...Culleoka(15-5)

5...Humboldt(14-6)

6...Grace Christian(17-0)

7...Trinity Christian(12-4)

8...Jackson County(15-5)

9...Manassas(14-6)

10.Friendship Christian(11-3)

Pretty acurate although i would have put Moore Co. ahead of Culleoka just based on their victory in a head to head match up. Grace Christian will be this years "Cosby" out of that region as they play absolutely no one. 106th ranked schedule speaks for itself. You have Trinity Christian, Middleton and Manassas all in the same region so most likely only one of them will go to the state maybe two depending on who they play in the substate. Then you have UC, Humboldt and Lake Co. all in the same region as well. Those are 6 really good teams out of which only two will make it to the buro' but i'm like you they are still in my top ten regardless of how far they advance.

I know the SOS rankings are misleading, but when you have a team close to 100 and a team in the mid 20's it's too much to ignore...Moore County plays them on the 23rd at Culleoka...If they both continue to win and Moore County wins that game, then you would have to look at putting them ahead of Culleoka....

I also agree with the post about Grace Christian...They are not exactly playing powerhouses over there...

ok ok moore county has beaten 3 AAA teams...1AA team and lost to only 1 A team ...strength os schedule is very misleading....none of the tournament games are included or out of state games....yopu can rank em how you want...just stating the obvious that culleoka isnt better than moore county. yeah they play the 23rd but they have already played when cully said they would blow them out...didnt happen...check their schedules and see who has dominated in their games with like teams...good luck to all the teams in 11a

Since the CoachT SOS DOES NOT include teams from Tennessee,go look up St.Louis Vashon out of Missouri and Warren Central out of Kentucky, teams Union City played....I know Temple played some Georgia schools and to be honest,I don't know how good they are but I do know how good those two teams UC played are, plus they played #1 ranked D-II Brentwood Acd......

I was curious about these so called rankings..I see that Lake Co has moved up from 90th to about 78th..But I also noticed Gleason and South Fulton were both ranked around 20th to 30th..By looking at Gleason's schedule compared to Lake Co.....Lake Co has played the exact same teams except Gleason has played Westview and Gibson Co..Lake Co has played Brighton..which should be comparable to either of those teams..The rest have been out of state teams..teams that are stronger but no way to count these games..But..again..Lake Co has played the exact same teams from Tenn except for two teams and Brighton should compensate for at least onr of those teams..so is playing just one team different that much of a factor as far as strength of schedule..And in Union City's strength..Is Gleason's strength of schedule stronger than Union city's ..They should have played the same teams also...and Union City has played a lot of out of state teams..but again..Gleason has played two teams..Westview and Gibson..Union City has played Haywood Co and Bolivar and Humboldt twice while Gleason has probably only played Humboldt once..Where is the strength of schedule..I don't get it!

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
