Summertown @ Forrest

I think Forrest is well above .500 at this point of the season. I also think they have a legitimate shot of winning the state as does several other schools.

Forrest outplayed Summertown even though they had seven turnovers in the first quarter. It was a very physical game and the Lady Rockets took it to the Lady Eagles and finally got over the hump of beating Summertown. High scorers for the game were Summer Waggoner with 17, Gaby Bussel with 12, Blair Foster with 8 points and just as many bruises from the physical game she played all night, and Beth Hawn with 8. For the Lady Eagles, Erica Peterson had 18, Kayla Clark had 17, and Haley Lovett had 11. Even though Summertown was without their post player who quit the team, the Rockets just wanted the game more than they did, plain and simple.

Forrest has a schedule that will allow them to gain some confidence headed into tourney time. Their only possible hard game is against Moore County and that should be a very very good game. Forrest should win the rest. Good luck.

Why do they not play Richland in regular season?

We used to have some great season games with Richland and then our District changed as we all know and I would guess it would just be a scheduling issue more than anything. Oh and we don't want to travel to those "Alabama" tourneys,
