Great job young lady. Are you going to choose Tennessee, Duke, Rutgers, or Conn. for your college career???????? Bet they all are calling.

Congrats again.

She has already committed to Bethel College in her hometown of McKenzie.

Wow, what a great night for Anna. First of all, she was elected the Homecoming Queen prior to the game. There was a big crowd supporting her because she was only 15 points away from 2000. Then, at the beginning the second quarter she was fouled. Her first free throw was her 2000th point, plus she is the all-time leading scorer in McKenzie school history and the season's not over yet. What an honor!

Anna,

We've watched you play the last 4 years in mckenzie and you are a great player. You ALWAYS give 100% out there and you're lots of fun to watch. We've seen how coaches try to stop you and you seem to find a way to score even when they key on you night after night after night. You've given us rebel fans lots to cheer about and we're all excited that we get to keep watching you play in your own hometown for the next 4 years at Bethel College. Good luck in all that you do. you're a great example for our sport on and off the court.

    • there will be a couple of teams, that could make some noise
    • Dyersburg may win back to back to back championships. They are going to be hands down the best 3A team. Plus their District/region/sectionals are not very good. They basically just have to make it to region out of a 5 team district that has a few decent teams. South Gibson will be okay but they graduate their best player and there is nobody in the region 7 or region 8 who is going to compete with them.
    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
