letrrip
Way to early to declare anybody anything. Huntland has a chance, if they play well. I look for a competitive district with four teams playing for two spots. Its baseball so anything can happen.
travellin_man
ok, it's time for some serious baseball. everyone is dusting off from the preseason. now, what will be the games to watch? i'm still going with CA and Cully in the finals of this district. CA is always tough, and Cully has been improving every year for the past three or four. should be a great district to watch. How is everyone's team shaping up so far? Whose got the pitching? Whose got the power?
www.schoolsportsradio.com
Santa Fe's problem has been the same for the last few years, players on the baseball team aren't exposed to the game until they are past the level to develope the skill. A lot of the players play softball when young or don't start playing until they are on the middle school team. Each year they have some good players, just not enough of them. Good luck to SF, make me proud and wrong. Dean Johnson
hornets27
Huntland beat Richland 10-3.5 of Huntland's runs came off of homeruns, one being a grand slam.2 of Richlands runs came off a homerun.Richland's pitchers struggled a bit,i think they threw about 4 pitchers.Huntland threw their lefty,he went 6 innings, then Davis came in and closed it out.Good start in the district for Huntland, but it is still a long season. Culleoka has 3 beter than average pitchers in garret flatt, david spare & jason anderson. They also have some young guys who can come in get outs when they need to.They have good enough picthers to go deep into the district tournament and not be hurt that badly.Look for the Warriors 2 have the best season in school history. always a dawg
does anybody think tht a district 11a team can make it far in state and if so who. And is there a strong enough team 2 win state.
lesplay2
I know it is early, but I told you before the season started. Huntland is almost always able to regroup and play on. Undefeated in the district and all on the road. They are always a team that will give their best and show up to play. Pitching and defense are what really wins games. Their loses to Cascade could have really gone their way. Cascade is a good team and really could have gone either way. Keep your eyes open. Most games at the end of the season are at home which should equal wins. Not saying they will, but should. Keep up the good work guys. GreenMan
QUOTE(always a dawg @ Mar 18 2007 - 12:41 PM) 826416239[/snapback]does anybody think tht a district 11a team can make it far in state and if so who. And is there a strong enough team 2 win state. Districts 11 and 12 seem to at an all time low this year. I would put my money on Trinity or Jackson Christian. Maybe Friendship. /ph34r.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="ph34r.gif" />
