Reavis is deserving of any award. He already sports a ring from his days at Lavergne.

However, you do realize that Oakland only lost one sr last yr? They have the same group of fellows that have gotten a LOT of starting time. That has to be to their advantage. No matter what or how......Oakland is ranked #4 in the nation, and I don't think any other Boro team in ANY sport has ranked higher than that. SO......they are to be applauded. Would be nice to see a mention in the DNJ.

QUOTE(The Star @ Apr 26 2007 - 04:00 PM) 826446123[/snapback]I'm still curious, and no one answered my question from last week. How many Oakland baseball players do not live in the Oakland zone? You know, there would be some super teams out there if you could choose who you wanted to play for. This sorta diminishes Oakland'sgreat season just a bit doesn't it????

And posts like this just confirms that Oakland is doing things right when you get posts filled with bitterness from a fan of a rival school. In must burn you up that Oakland has just owned this district this year in basketball and baseball

Heck - the Mets ended the Braves run last year. Riverdale can't win every sport every year. 8 or 9 out of every 10 years is pretty hard to do /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

Well and it just goes to show that it runs in spurts. Oakland had a similar run from the early 90's to 2001 and riverdale up until now. Its a credit to both coaches, who have produced a awesome number of guys who eventually went on to play college ball, alot of whom are playing just a few minutes from where their old stomping grounds used to be

Yeah the paper is PITIFUL this year. This is the worst I can ever remember it being. How can you have a team ranked number 4 in the nation and their own local paper doesnt even mention it. This is horrible.

Maybe Oakland needs to hire a better SID? LOL!!!!!!!!

Seriously, it is going to be in Friday's DNJ: Oakland moves up to No. 4 in nation

It is the ole 'DNJ-no-longer-have-a-printing-press' problem. That early deadline. Did anyone notice if MTSU's win over #1 Vanderbilt last week made the paper the next morning? Or their win over Belmont last night????

The way it is now, if a UFO lands downtown and takes Mayor Bragg hostage as he is leaving city hall we will have to wait a couple of days to read about it in our local paper....
