Good game to watch, two way different styles. Webb will surprise some people this year I believe. Their field is huge.

 

Sounds like it was a good one! To be honest, I totally forgot you guys were playing tonight, otherwise I would have been over there. You guys are going to make some noise in your district this season!!! We ended our pre-season with Oak Ridge last night. They have an awesome facility!

We won 3-0. I think he was missing a starter or two, but on the whole, he had most of his strong players. They play a different type of defense... their sweeper plays back about 20 yards behind the outside fullbacks. It gave up a lot of room on the attack. I think once they get all of their players back, they will do fine in their district. I really enjoyed playing them (It has been about 4 years since we have) and they were wonderful hosts. I wish them the best of luck this season.

Ohh yeah!! hows is the new facility? and where in relation to the old one?

It's really, really nice. I don't know anything about the last one, but this new one has box goals and is a full size field with a smooth surface and good grass. They even have the little cover things for the benches which is awesome, they're the first school that I've played to have that.

      RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.

      I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
