akula21
Alcoa 5 Loudon 3 It was 5-1 about 10 minutes into the second half, then we pulled the starters. Loudon has some very talented individuals.

stevescarb
QUOTE(uniden @ Mar 8 2007 - 09:08 PM) 826405477Wow, that is another impressive result for Alcoa. Scrimmages are scrimmages, but Alcoa has a solid team with a lot of upperclassmen. The 2-1 result was about right for now. Kingston was missing three starters (too many smart kids play soccer) and still has some things to work out on the field. Hard to justify the 24 spot differential between those two teams in the rankings, though. Problem is that Kingston plays in the toughest District in Tennessee, with Catholic and CAK. Good thing is, we get to see some great futbol right in our own District. It all starts next week.
BigG
QUOTE(stevescarb @ Mar 11 2007 - 10:53 AM) 826408005Problem is that Kingston plays in the toughest District in Tennessee, with Catholic and CAK. Good thing is, we get to see some great futbol right in our own District. I think it is a shame that there are several teams in our district that could advance if they were in other regions (though you could say the same in several areas). Kingston has always had a good squad, and I don't put too much into results of scrimmages. I know they will be ready to play us when regular season rolls around. Looking forward to it! CAK is off for two weeks (with junior and senior trip this week, and spring break the next) but then opens with Anderson County and West.
