I know Coach Rice went back to Waynesboro and there is no chance of him coming back to PC, but what about Robinson or Laster? Can they get either one of them back. They were pretty good coaches. I heard that both of them moved closer to their families, but things can happen. Has anyone applied for the jobs yet? By the way, what happened with Courtney, is he not coming back?

Robinson & Laster will not be back, they are happy where they are. Don't know who has applied; and as for the last question, you'll have to ask director of schools about that. He is teaching but not coaching. They are making a big mistake if they don't let him coach, but then football is the step-child in pc anyway. Don't think the powers that be care anyway. It's a shame, because those boys work their tails off, they deserve good coaches and an administration that cares what happens to them.

Yeah, no joke football is last on the list of sports PC's superintendant cares about. The principal supports the program as much as he can, but how much support can you give when your boss doesn't?

2 examples of questionable conduct

Most schools, when they advertise for an assistant coach, the head coach interviews them to see if he wants them, then he goes to the adminstration to see if the guy can be hired. At PC, the superintendant interviews the candidate and if he hires him, he forces the guy on the head coach, and the guy may not really know anything about football.

Rumor has it that next year Kirk Haston will be given a cushy board office job so he can be an assistant basketball coach. Now, I'm sure the guy can coach basketball, and I'm sure that will will do well. This is not to knock him or his abilities. My question is, why does a guy who received a $4 million signing bonus when he was drafted into the NBA need a $30,000 a year job? Especially when the school system worries about the budget every year? Wouldn't it be more economically feasible for Haston to just volunteer as a coach? Its not like he needs the money. And he could still sleep late everyday.

But my opinion shouldn't matter? I'm just Ned........................

Why are they not letting him coach?

I can't speak for Coach Robinson, but yes I am happy where I am now. I am at a great school and closer to my family. However, I did enjoy the time I spent in PC. I still have friends there and wish Coach Bradley and the guys the best of luck next season. I also think that Mr. Webb supports the football program more than he is given credit for on here. He actually coached football at one point. I believe that he wants to see all students and activities in PC be successful.
