cobracoach
All Academic Team Middle Tennessee High School Softball Coaches Association We want to commend each of these student/athletes for their efforts in the classroom and on the athletic field. The balance between academics and athletics can be precarious at best. To maintain a 3.75 gpa and spend countless hours on the practice field is a tremendous accomplishment. Way to go girls! You will be honored at our North/South All Star game on June 13th. MTSCA wants all girls to realize that sports are an important part of the total academic/ high school experience, but good grades are the way of the future. We challenge all student athletes to be the best they can be in their studies and softball. rocole98
Congratulations to all of these girls for working hard in the classroom and working hard on the field. I know how much effort it takes to keep those grades up, especially during the season. This is a great achievement and I know all of these ladies will continue to be successful in college and throughout their lives.

Hitter
Where are the girls from Independence High School? I know the catcher for Varsity, Kelsey Crane, a junior, maintains a 4.6 GPA with AP courses. Good job Kelsey.
hawksoftball
QUOTE(Hitter @ Mar 30 2007 - 01:14 PM) 826426623[/snapback]Where are the girls from Independence High School? I know the catcher for Varsity, Kelsey Crane, a junior, maintains a 4.6 GPA with AP courses. Good job Kelsey. Independence is not a member. The coaches from each school must be a member of the MTSCA to get the girls this award. It only cost $25 for a head coach to be a member and most schools or booster clubs will pay this. It is a shame players like Kelsey gets left off, my suggestion is to ask your coach to become a member next year. The All Star Games, All Academic, All Mid State, etc. are all things these girls are missing out on.
