If not that is an amazing amount of support. i didnt know anything about the Clarksville game last night til the game today when the announcers kept talking about it. so that helped me kind of figure out why they didnt look like a team that shouldve been there. playing 84 minutes of basketball is tough to do in 24hrs.

once again congrats to Maryville.

I do not think CHS took any busloads of students. I saw many older people there who have no children attending CHS but simply came to see what has been so elusive in the past (and remains so) which is a High School basketball crown. There have been a number of very talented basketball teams in Clarksville over the years but that final victory has been so very elusive.

Ha, kudos to two Rebel fans. Call it bravery or call it stupidity but it showed some guts; Two maryville fans, one of which was painted, ventured into the middle of the Clarksville student section yelling, "Maryville!" He then came down another aisleway doing the same. He was pelted with ice, paper and other objects and several CHS students then began pushing him back up the aisle. Not sure what happened next but an authority of some sort came to escort the lad back to the other end of the arena. He arrived back in the Maryville section to the cheers of the Rebel students. The last I saw, a police officer appeared to do whatever was done with the young men.

I thought Maryville brought a nice crowd considering how long a drive it is to Murfreesboro. There seemed to be a lot more Maryville fans there than what it may have looked like on television. I say this because they were simply not all sitting together in the same sections. Put all the pockets of rebel red together and it was a nice contingent.

The CHS turnout was excellent. I do not think the community really goes to games but the support started coming on strong when CHS played Franklin in the Sectional Final to send the Cats to State. The Cat's Den was SRO that night and it is a fairly large gymnasium. However, for just regular season games and District tournaments, etc., the support is not nearly as much by a long shot.

Clarksville played a tremendous game with 5 OT's under their belt in 2 days. You all have a good team and I hope well for you all in the future. Great comeback and excellent student section. The comeback in the end started to make me think we might not win. Luckily we have clutch players in Damron and Click. Obviously Damron hitting some clutch shots in the end and Click hitting the game winner. Anyways, what a great year for Maryville sports, football and basketball. Great game Clarksville.

Man I give Clarksville a lot of props. After looking at the scores I fully expected them to whip Maryville. Maryville got handled by Powell in the region and Oakland laid the wood to Powell. So with what might have been a flawed logic I didn't think Maryville had a chance. I can definitely understand that fatigue was probably a huge factor for Clarksville! Congrats to both teams for a hard fought year and battle.

Ha, yea you were the guys who beat us. Anyways, speaking of cheerleaders, I heard some Liberty guy commenting on how hot ours were. I would definately have to agree, did know we had some of the best.

Is it true (as already reported in the Clarksville Leaf Chronicle concerning tonight's game) that was the only shot Click had made in Maryville's three games in the tournament? if so, he picked a fine time to score! Ha.
