QUOTE(willwinstate @ Mar 29 2007 - 08:09 AM) 826425580wow i am kind of amazed, you think a good time for a sophmore is SUB 50.00! i have been to alot of track meets in my life mostly because my mom is a high school track coach, but i myself am a sophmore and i run right at a 54.00 400 and have not seen anyone my age run that time. just wondering who you have seen do this. and is 54 for a sophmore possible to come down to a 49- 51. or were all the sub 50 guys already running way better when they were sophmores?

Running a sub - 50 would have placed no worse than 4th in any division at state last year. 54.00 is a good time (in TN) for a 10th grader.

QUOTE(WestTNtrack @ Mar 31 2007 - 11:21 AM) 826427095Moore actucally hurdled last year and got Disqualified at state. He was the anchor of their state champion 4x400. Also I think Cordova has some good 400 runners. They ran 3.22 in the 4x400 already this year.

Thanks for the info. DII has some 400 studs this year it appears.

QUOTE(WestTNtrack @ Apr 1 2007 - 10:13 PM) 826427944The best 400 runner in TN may be James Gilreath from Bartlett who ran 47 something in the open today (I think it may have been hand timed) but he is running for Baylor next year

i agree he is the best 400 runner in tn but he will be running the 8 for baylor. 47 isnt good enough to run the 4 for baylor, they only put sub46 guys on that 4x8

Macon County has a freshman running a 44-45 for 300m H and a split of 55-57 on 4x400. How would this compare???
