The Farragut vs Bearden first annual alumni game is this saturday at 4pm at Farragut - tickets are $7 at the door and all money/donations raised will go toward a scholarship fund created in Brooke Culbreth's name. Brooke passed away last year and this game is to celebrate her life and her years of service to the boys soccer team. This should be an entertaining game and all of the money goes into her fund - coming out to watch would show tremendous support for Brooke's family, friends, and all of the players.

or have a list of players for each team or at least some of them

was it a good game? physical?

They tied 3-3. The game got pretty intense at times, Farragut was up 2-0 at one point. I dont have a list of players but I know there was about 31 alumni for Farragut and only 12 from Bearden, and they had to borrow Matt Blair (Oak Ridge Alumni) and another Alumni from Catholic. Good game though

The game was awesome and a great idea. Bearden had players like Elam in goal, Victor Upshaw, Tayloy Haney, Matt Blair, Todd Vincent, and some others i didn't know the name of but were good players..Farragut had a range of players, mostly from the 04-05 era. They also had Andrew Doyle, Jameson Rhiner, Michael Henson, Kyle Mottern, and Shaun Stinton (from a while ago) come back...it was an entertaining game and i was glad i could be apart of it....except for the fact that it felt like 36degrees outside and was raining the whole time...i hope next year has just as big...or a bigger turn out for both teams.

Bearden had Ryan Pryor and Matt Blair from Oak Ridge and Carlos Maqueda (sp?) from Catholic.

Even though the conditions were miserable we all had a good time. I'm glad I could be a part of the game and look forward to next year! Hopefully the weather is better next time, as I'm pretty sure more people would have come out if it was sunny.

    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
