Riverdale vs. Mt.Juliet

Softball scout didn't defend anyone, you and your girls didn't need defending, he questioned the same thing. Don't pay attention to some of the people on this board. They enter into all discussions with the sole purpose of stirring up trouble.

 

 

 

Thanks swingaway. We have those in our group also that like to stir up trouble. Glad the

game will be played. It will benefit both teams as we begin our quest for spring fling.

I'm looking forward to a fun night in Murfreesboro.

Riverdale plays on campus. The field is on the right hand side of the campus. You can see it from the road.

Well it was a good game for both teams. Mt. Juliet won this one 3 to 2. Thank you Mt. Juliet for coming out and playing. It was helpful for us, as winning 40 games is great but it is too easy to relax and not do what it takes to win when it counts at the end of the season. Yes, it was. I hate to say it, and it may sound a little odd, but right now , I think a loss right before districts might not have been such a bad thing for Riverdale. I truly believe it will help us.

It just so happens that my daughter does not play for Mt. Juliet, but I am a big fan of "Mac" and yes she is an outstanding pitcher. Good win for her and her teammates heading into the post season. Seems that Riverdale may have been well served by cancelling as previously planned, but all the girls are doing their best and remember it's a team game, not a pitcher's game anyway. There have been lots of teams in the past that have beaten pretty decent pitchers with a combination of good coaching and instinctive base running. And remember, there are thousands of ways to create a run or prevent one in the short base path game. It's really a great sport. Let the run for state begin!

How would Riverdale have been well served by cancelling? You said this is really a great sport. We are in agreement there. The way that your TEAM gets better is by competing against other good TEAMS. If you are afraid to lose, you are already defeated. The only way to get better is by pushing the envelope against good competition. You win by going into the arena against any and all comers and getting better! Like you said, let the run to the state begin, and may the best TEAM win!
