I believe that Clarksville will prevail on this one although it will be tough. Coach D from Clarksville has a respected program and a lot of experience on the playoffs which shows after beating Dickson County for the Championship. Teams like Hendersonville and Clarksville can have an OK season but when playoffs come around they are hot because they know how to win and their coaches been there and they have done it again and again. Good luck to both!!

CHS has to win this one. Not only to advance into the Region finals but to avoid their first losing season in school history. They are 10-10-1 now so they will need to win their next two games (at least) in order to finish above .500 because a win over Wilson Central followed by a loss to Hendersonville would end the season right at .500. I'm keeping my fingers crossed on this this but it's not looking good. Regardless of how their season ends they can at least say they won their district. People were really doubting them. Winning the district has always been on the top of the list of goals for each season.

Clarksville's going to finish below .500 you can count on that. Even if they beat Wilson Central they're going to lose to Hendersonville and Brentwood to finish 11-12.

 

Wilson Central's goal was very nice. It should be an interesting finish tomorrow. They start at 6.

2 to 1 Clarksville.

The goal came within the first two minutes of the first half of overtime. The keeper took a goal kick, botched it, then Clarksville took a shot from about twenty-five yards out to keeper, who lacked the effort to even attempt a save.

 

Good luck Clarksville. You better win state for us, and for yourselves.

Not fair to put the blame on the keeper for this one. Wilson Central had another 12 or so minutes to convert and didn't. Plenty of opportunities but no finish. This keeper helped bring this team to the regions with an outstanding record in saves. One play is not and never has been the winning or losing of a game. Good season for both of these teams and good luck to Clarksville tomorrow night. You'll need it.

      Why? Low pay. Low budget thanks to the Rotary milking the programs revenue. Foul smell. There are other negative things... Positives: the players and being toward the top of the classification numbers wise.

      What we have here is an influx of outsiders raining down on the town of Maryville like a swarm of locust trying to change our culture into the same crap they moved away from. I have no issues with anyone coming here but don't bring your politics with you. Most people around here never pay attention to the elections and keep letting the same ole rats and vermin right back in the back door and wonder why things are like they are. The problem at Maryville High is mainly due to letting outsiders get a foothold on control and shove their agenda down everyone's throat. Anyone that leaves there or let's say ranoff are replaced with an outsider with the same mindset. Eventually Maryville High will never be the same as it once was which I'm beginning to believe already but it's only chance of survival are to recruit people that will get in there and reverse the damage that has already happened.

      Athletics is just a piece. It can help them academically, socially and add confidence. I was still 17 when I finished my first quarter at UT. I was the last to get my driver's license. It's not always just for athletics.
