To all that competed tonight: great running, hope to see some of you in Murfreesboro. Congratulations to Patterson with his win in the 800, and FRA for their team victory. The runner-up was Lipscomb with MLK in third.

No doubt... what was his official time in the 200? I had him clocked at 21.76

not that fast 22.07 or 22.08

QUOTE(TrentDilfer? @ May 18 2007 - 12:48 AM) 826461735[/snapback]Yeah, Byrum is quite a beast. Should double in state.

Also, in that open 800, Patterson and Johnson both got terribly boxed in on the first lap. They could barely move.

if by double you mean run both i'm sure he will but if by double you mean win both there is no way because bentley has gone way faster than 10.86, the 200m should be closer but i think bentley may still be a little faster. and that doesn't even include the memphis runners who's times i'm sure we will not discover until next wednesday.

i agree 100% with the 800 comment. i had them both at 62 for the first lap because of some other runners going out entirely too fast and boxing them in but then closing in 59

oh and actually i think byrum will be trippling with the 4x4 at the end so that is even more impressive. he looked really fast in the 4x4 tonight. does anyone have a split on that?

I didn't get a split, but speaking of that 4x4, man was it beast of a race. FRA beating Lipscomb by .09 seconds to win the meet... Gutsy race there by Patterson. FRA also .06 from auto qualifying in the 4x4, it was a tight one to be sure.

i'll set sunday afternoon as the over/under for getting results from the west section. middle results were up last night by 11PM.

I am not sure if this link works but the Jackson Sun is reporting results from West.

some shocking stuff in there. it looks like evans pope after the terrible injuries is still going to state in the final 400m spot. also, FRA gets to go to state in the 4x4. looks like patterson will be doing the 4x8 800 4x4 triple and nolan will be doing the 3200 4x8 4x4 triple. did the west get 4 guys in the 800m? its a pretty weird year

Certainly is... it'd be pretty interesting to see when the last time the west had 4 guys in the 800m

well this is only the third year of the new qualifying format so it has never happened. the middle had 4 qualify in both of the first 2 years as well as all 4 spots in all 4 distance events (32 16 8 4x8) this year is pretty crazy with the middel getting just one of the 2 1600m at large bids and neither of the 800m at large bids. they still got both in the 32 and 4x8 though
