scpride
What teams will be attending?
rappy
Ravenwood will be there. It looks to be the last year to be there since the TSSAA is killing off 7 on 7 or any other football activity next year during the extended dead period from June and half of July. JesseWJohnson
I'll actually be covering the event for Unapproved Website/VandySports.com, and unapproved website.com. Anyways some of the programs that I know will be there includes Antioch, Brentwood Academy, MBA, Hillsboro, Ravenwood, Independence, Lavergne, Stratford, Whites Creek and many more locally. Some out-of-state teams include Pulaski Academy of Arkansas and Hazelwood East of Missouri. Some schools like Nease, Bartram Trail, and First Coast in Florida were slated to participate but have supposedly pulled out due to travel reasons or whatever. LSMFT
Why not have the tournament in July right after the dead period ends?

timbdp
whats the schedule?
JesseWJohnson
QUOTE(timbdp @ Jun 5 2007 - 03:42 PM) 826471700[/snapback]whats the schedule? It starts at 1 pm with Pool Play. I believe there will be two rounds on Wednesday and then may or may not be a third round of pool play in the morning on Thursday. Then after a break of course, there will be the tournament. That's how it was last year..though the tournament was held last year over the weekend. Vanderbilt had to have it during the week due to scheduling issues. SACDAWGS
Any results from today's action? I heard there was a ton of speed and great players at this tournament. Thought: maybe if TSSAA actually attended such a fun thing and saw the enjoyment these student-athletes are having that they would think twice about banning such tournaments next year. One gets a different perspective on things sitting behind a desk than actually being involved and at the event. Players love to showcase their talents to persepective coaches and to other teams. Those that play love the competition. The suits in TSSAA have lost any competition spirit they once may have had. Sad TSSAA, you are so sad. Tarnish these players dreams of competition, to measure up against other players from other states and flex the TN high school football muscle. In this humble HS football fan, you (TSSAA) are causing that muscle to become atrophy. Wake up TSSAA you are hurting your big dog sport. Now, you are going to run the clock when a team is up by 35 or more in the fourth quarter, BUT if it gets below that then you go back to normal timing???
