I usually run polls for all of the classes about now but am unsure as to the changes that have occurred. I know who has moved up or down, based on enrollment changes, but not what region they moved to. So what is wrong with the following:

Region 1

Claiborne County (New Tazewell)

Gibbs (Corryton)

Knoxville Carter (Strawberry Plains)

Pigeon Forge

Rutledge

Seymour

Union County (Maynardville)

Region 2

Anderson County (Clinton)

Austin-East (Knoxville)

Kingston

Knoxville Catholic (Knoxville)

Knoxville Fulton (Knoxville)

Livingston Academy (Livingston)

Scott County (Huntsville)

Stone Memorial

Region 3

East Ridge (Chattanooga)

Grundy County (Coalmont)

Howard (Chattanooga)

McMinn Central (Englewood)

Meigs County (Decatur)

Notre Dame (Chattanooga)

Polk County (Benton)

Sequoyah (Madisonville)

Tellico Plains

Region 4

DeKalb County (Smithville)

Greenbrier

Macon County (Lafayette)

Pearl-Cohn (Nashville)

Station Camp (Gallatin)

Sycamore (Pleasant View)

White House

Region 5

Cheatham County (Ashland City)

Creek Wood (Charlotte)

David Lipscomb (Nashville)

Giles County (Pulaski)

Marshall County (Lewisburg)

Montgomery Central (Cunningham)

Page (Franklin)

Spring Hill (Columbia)

Region 6

Bolivar Central (Bolivar)

Chester County (Henderson)

Fayette-Ware (Somerville)

Jackson South Side (Jackson)

Lexington

McNairy Central (Selmer)

Region 7

Covington

Crockett County (Alamo)

Dyer County (Newbern)

Dyersburg

Haywood County (Brownsville)

Obion County (Troy)

Ripley

Region 8

Frayser (Memphis)

Hillcrest (Memphis)

Mitchell (Memphis)

Sheffield (Memphis)

Stones numbers for 07-08 will be around 950 so what ever class that that makes them they will be.

Those are official numbers too right out of their Central Office.

Liberty Tech is no longer in Region 6-3A CoachT because they are now in 4A in football and in AAA in baseball & basketball (moving them out of District 12AA in both of those sports).

Stone Memorial will play in Region 2-3A for the next two years.

Outside of that everything else that you have is correct as far as I know /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

Anyone know what 4A region Liberty will be in for football? Since I'm asking, what district for 3A basketball?

Regions 8 and 3 are both weaker than 1...

Regions 3 and 8 have won some playoff games ... Region 1 is lucky to win any .... they usually get shutout in 1st round ..all 4 teams loose from Region 1 ... region 3 has had semi finalist and region 8 has upset soem good region 7 teams in past years .........

Could be because Region 2 has won 5 of the last 6 state titles...not an excuse for Region 1 not winning more often, but it's obviously HARDER to get over against the guys in Region 2 when they're sending 3 different schools to win 5 of 6 state titles...

    • I have no affiliation with Maryville anymore outside of being a 2nd generation graduate from a large family of Rebel alumni. That relationship ended courtesy of the lame duck AD (a Bearden grad I might add) and the HBIC. That said, I could care less if a private school comes through and offers every promising athlete out of that school or any other school better opportunities.
    • A perfect example is for athletes at Clinton High School. I will completely understand, and hopefully everyone should understand why they want to, and as of right now, it looks like that’s going to happen in numbers over the summer.
    • I mean, that’s easy to say when it hasn’t happened to your school that often, if at all, but yeah, I think everybody should be for the student athlete or player. Whatever they think will help them or their athletic career, I feel like they should be able to do that, even if that means transferring schools. Now I don’t really get that when you have almost every offer you could want and then jump ship, but what can I say? I guess money talks.
    • I for one am all for it.
    • Covid killed the city because they chose not to play football in the 2020 season. Therefore, kids weren't able to practice and develop, and continuing to lift weights. Memphis basically had 7/8 graders, skipping a year, then playing 9/10 high school football. Now, there's only one team that has made a "dent" which will be Southwind (made it to the 5A semifinals last year).  If you want to go more suburbs, then it'll be Houston, which won the 6A state title, defeating Oakland Other than that, I agree.
