MidTennFootball
? Obviously the next year is going to be a rebuilding year when you lose the kind of class that Oakland just lost especially when they were all in the 8-9 man rotation Oakland had going all year. However, I feel that Oakland has enough experience returning where they wont fall totally off the board and I feel like they could do pretty well in the district and maybe finish 3rd, I feel like Siegel and White County have to be the favorites in this district going into 07-08. If there is ever 1 position where you want your 1 returning starter to be, it is at the point. The last 2 years Maupins has patiently waited for his time to shine and now this is it, he has the keys to the car and his play will determine how well Oakland does in the winter. Oakland does have Dejuan Epps, Tyler Edwards, and Kendall Harding, all who got some pretty good minutes off the bench, but will now be forced into starting roles. A big difference in the 07-08 version of the Patriots will be that they should be much deeper, I could see a rotation of 10-12 guys, especially on a team with this much inexperience, but Oakland will have enough senior leadership that they will make it through. Oakland has had an unbelieveable run of success, and sometimes I almost wonder if it will ever end, but with King at the helm I doubt it. On paper, Oakland doesnt look that tough, but if Ive learned anything about watching the Patriots over the years, as long as they have curly one on that bench, they are a threat to beat anybody. MidTennFootball
Correct me if im wrong someone, but I heard that Jamal Hughes moved back to Atlanta. Is this true or what? Unless he moved to Atlanta after I saw him play in 2 games Saturday, I would vouch that it is probably untrue.
catuballer
I would not count Oakland out of the 7AAA District race. Coach King will have them peaking around tournament time. They may end up in the top 3 in the district - even with losing Allen and Wade (not to mention a 6'8" kid that wasn't bad and another 6'5 kid that was pretty athletic). His success over the last 20 years is not a result of luck. He can flat out coach.

I hope he's better. 2nd ? - David Hockenberry played for Siegel last year. How come he is allowed to play, does he not have to sit out a year. He still lives in the Siegel zone. I posted it with Brandon on there because he is just as much a part of the team as everyone else. I am pretty sure he wont play again, but he is still a part of the team. Secondly, and I may be wrong on this, but George is a employee of the county and can send his kids wherever he so chooses and be in good stand eligibility-wise. Randy isnt going to play a guy thats ineligible.
