If i ask coach a question i ask if my son is working hard? If he is working hard then it is a coaches descion and my son is doing what he is suppose to be doing he just has to get better if he is not working hard then it is his fault...a lot of players are going to be better than my boys and they cant control that but they can control how hard they work...

I want to jump on the doing somthing wrong at school subject that was brought up in the article... When i visit a teacher about my one of my sons i always say right off the bat i know my son was wrong i have to take the teacher off of the defensive because they are always attacked by parents because THEIR KID IS MAKING A D OR F IT IS THE TEACHERS FAULT. NOT the fact that their CHILD didnt do their homework or turn it in. Or its the teachers fault that child mis behaved in class in stead of the childs fault

PARENTS BLAME YOUR KIDS FOR THEIR ACTIONS AND NOT TEACHERS AND OTHER KIDS!!!!!! If you have a problem with a teacher or a coach keep it between YOU AND YOUR SPOUSE dont let the kids know. In all my dealing with teachers their was only 1 teacher that i found real fault in BUT MY SON NEVER KNEW THAT i told him to do whatever he had to do to pass the class.

The kids are good but i think we as a society have a lot of parents who dont let their kids take responsiblilties or let them make excuses for their actions so they never feel anything is their fault

sorry i got on a soapbox their

Excellent post. You are exactly right when you say that parents don't let their kids take responsibility. And we all wonder why society has morphed into what it is now... Nine times out of 10, the teacher/coach isn't at fault; instead, it's a student/player issue. I can remember when I was in high school (not that long ago might I add), kids always wanted to blame the teacher for giving them a bad grade or giving them too much work to do. Whatever happened to just shutting up and studying? There is a very good chance that if they just s*cked it up, did the work, and studied, those kids never would have received a bad grade in the first place. Yes, parents do need to stand up for their kids sometimes, but a parent also needs to stand up for the teacher every once in a while.
