Scrimmage format was starting with the ball on the 30 and drive until you run out of downs, have a turn over or score. There was a total of 9 offensive series for each side. The final score was 5-0 SP and on SP's first drive we had the ball intercepted in the end zone and later the 2nd team had a fumble at their 20 after we had driven from our 30 so we missed on 2 more scores. Polk Co has a pretty good line but they didn't have the speed, experience and skill people that SP has. Our D was very good. Polk had very little success moving the ball. They only had one long drive (2nd one) and they ended up turning the ball over on downs at the 12.They threw an out pattern several times and it worked pretty well but for only 10+/- yard gains. SP threw the ball really well including 3 long passes of 30 yds or more plus a lot of shorter stuff. Our receivers made some outstanding catches and both QB's threw well. This year we will have an effective passing game to go along with the running game. After first 2 series we mixed in a lot of 2nd teamers and they did well both offensively and defensively. We are not where we need to be, still to many missed assignments and blocks, but we are getting better. Pork's punter, #49, kicked the best looking punt I have ever seen in HS. It was around 50 yards long and went really high in a nice spiral. Amazing kick.
