Never a question of backing our team but this idjit 07devilturnaround is on here advertising his stupidity and the next thing you know bucdaddio or some overly sensitive South fan will start their whole "you devil fans don't respect us" crap. Just trying to nip it in the bud. Greeneville's offense really stunk it up @ Boone.Couldn't stay on the field long enough to rest their over-worked defense. They have managed to put 30 whole points in the last 3 games. Their defense has been fairly good against the run from a scoring standpoint,at only surrendering 35 points, but is yet untested against a passing game of this caliber. To say Greeneville will " put a stop to South's big time QB" is moronic and I would prefer it stick to the person who made it and not get pinned on " you Greeneville fans". As far as the "round-ones" crack...are you implying I am fat?...I might be old and crippled Cap, but I'm not round.

Ok i will say it again greeneville will stop the big time qb why b/c there tired of being out on the field and b/c this is the week that the ole ball coach pulls out plays from when he was offensive coach 4 and 5 years ago he's sat on the side to long and i know greeneville will be mightily fired up for this game and the defense might just be one of the best in east tennessee its hard maintaining steam when ur on the field for an average of 30 of the 48 minutes but greeneville's d has done some great things in just holding there opponents to less then 12 points per game and this week they will do the same and for once the receivers will catch the ball and this game will be mighty flawless for the ole devils

You mean they weren't tired of being on the field last week? Heck if thats all it takes we should have shut Masters down at halftime. Shoot, I guess all that time the D was on the field, McCurry could have used to teach his O a couple of his old plays. Man, you should have been around to give him some sage counsel. And how much day-old bubblegum is it gonna take for the receivers to hang onto Greenway's rockets.

Hey Barb, I know its football season, but I heard something this weekend that Greeneville has got 2 transfers for basketball. One of these guys is 7'1", any truth to this?

Beats me..I am a little out of the loop since my kids graduated. Wouldn't really surprise me though. Duncan attracts some pretty good talent. Maybe we could use this kid on the football team...A good old fashioned blocked shot might be just the thing to stop Phillips Friday night.

If you'll ask any South fans I'd almost bet that South has as many rushing yards as passing yards. You seem to think they are a one man team but the game I saw this was not the case. They can run the ball very effectivly(spelling?)I assure you.

So barb, you think I'm sensitive? I didn't think you noticed...................

Seriously, I probably just wasted too much time listening to the wrong Greeneville fans. This thread, with the exception of devilsturnaround, seems a lot more informed and educated about the game.

What Phillips gives South isn't just rushing yards or passing yards, but the ability to get 1st downs and keep it rolling. If you shut down Boone's running game, we are gonna be in trouble, but if you stop one thing of South's, they just do something else.

Sensitivity issues aside, though, barb, I WILL be pulling for the Devils this week.

Well I got the cookie that said Greeneville better find a way to put points on the board, cause South doesn't need long , time-consuming drives like Boone did...they can pick us apart in the air fairly quickly. The defense has held up well but unless they find a way to score, its gonna be a long night.

What a revelation! ("Greeneville better find a way to score") Did you think this up all by yourself? I think what the poster is saying is keeping South's offense off the field will enable Greeneville's offense the opportunities to score. Uh, and just what makes you think the Greeneville defense will be picked apart? Nobody has done it yet? I'm not going to predict anything, but I see this game as a fight to the end.

    • Im asking everyone to keep roy whited and his family in your prayers. Coach whited won back to back state championships at white county in 98-99. He is very well liked and respected in this area. For those of you that dont know he went missing 3 days ago. No one knows where he is. His truck was found in a rural part of the county. Thanks again. We are all very concerned.
    • West would be a good team to get behind if they can pull it off again like last year. That championship game last year was awesome.
    • I say that because he stepped out of a MUCH better situation on his own than he would see at least his first 3 years at DCA and it would take at least that much to bring him back to coaching. There are other fish in the sea, but again money talks. Need to fix the girls hoops too. Now I'll try again. Who has Pierce locked in for his staff? Hearing a McGavock man but not the Iceman.
    • I’ve heard mostly good things from the gridiron. Lots of optimism. It sounds like the portal has mostly helped, though there are a few expected defections. Comeback year!
    • Rudesell 1 year at Crockett. Coach Tate 2 weeks a Bradford. South Gibson supposedly going with jcs middle school coach. Which isn’t who I thought would get it, I know the top 2 was between him and Obion girls head coach.
