ok ok not so fast there ma'am haha unlike boone and mercer greeneville really stacks up better against south!!!!! Why i know ur gonna ask b/c what did they do to jeff. even though it was a nobody qb in ur opp. they stopped the pass and if u ask me ur gonna see that rejuvenated devil d friday nite and they will put a stop to south's big time qb and his yes ouch two receivers and there mediocre qb as for the offense for greeneville thats another story and ok if u put jeff's # 2 up with souths qb i bet he would look better then kitzmiller

I'm from Cloudland so I have no dog in this race. My 12 yr old wanted to go see this so called mediocre Qb play last weekend so we made the trip to Erwin. Dude, you are in for a show and that's all I'll even say about Phillips. I'm thinking that little trap option South runs will be the nail in the coffin for the G.Devils though. They better not get caught looking @ Phillips because South has a pretty good RB too. Defense is probably as stout as Boone's so I hope your O doesn't have another "off week". I was impressed and I have a feeling after friday you will be too.

Wow, I can't wait to see what Comp does to this post. Keep telling yourself that South's QB is mediocre and that his targets are limited to one maybe two. The real world will inform you next week that you just gave up 150 yards rushing and Phillips threw for 3 TD's to three different receivers. Barb, show this kid some film before he spats out about South's soft defense or below average o-line.

He already has enough rope to hang himself

As a Greeneville fan, I think our team is much improved over the past few years. That showed up in our first two games. You might ask what happend with Boone. It is pretty clear, we got our #### kicked. You have to put points on the board to win. Does that mean come Friday night I will be sitting at the Moose Lodge? Heck no I will be in Burley stadium cheering my Devils on. Greeneville fans are here, they are a little disappointed. But I assure you none of us are as disappointed with the out come of the Boone game as our team is. I am in no way saying Boone is not a good team, they did a great job.

The Greene Devils will now have to work harder to finish the season off with some wins and hopefully make the playoffs. Best of luck to Boone the rest of the season.

Boy I??™m sure glad to see you Greeneville fans have the ???round-ones??? to back your team when they're down. No pun intended Barb.

Never a question of backing our team but this idjit 07devilturnaround is on here advertising his stupidity and the next thing you know bucdaddio or some overly sensitive South fan will start their whole "you devil fans don't respect us" crap. Just trying to nip it in the bud. Greeneville's offense really stunk it up @ Boone.Couldn't stay on the field long enough to rest their over-worked defense. They have managed to put 30 whole points in the last 3 games. Their defense has been fairly good against the run from a scoring standpoint,at only surrendering 35 points, but is yet untested against a passing game of this caliber. To say Greeneville will " put a stop to South's big time QB" is moronic and I would prefer it stick to the person who made it and not get pinned on " you Greeneville fans". As far as the "round-ones" crack...are you implying I am fat?...I might be old and crippled Cap, but I'm not round.

Greeneville should be fine....they've got a lot of good players at positions. Think they do struggle with the run game a bit.

If they can establish that running game and play a field position/clock game, they could do the same thing to South that Boone did to them.

Now thats probably not likely, but....it wouldnt be a total shocker, after how Greeneville looked in pre-season and Weeks 0 and 1.

As barb said, will be an interesting to see how GHS can defend the pass from Phillips.

South vs Greeneville should be a very good contest. What does everyone think?

First of all, kudo's to a very good Daniel Boone football team and an exceptional game plan. I missed that call completely, but not out of a lack of respect to DB. They are a good football team, as is South. With that said, I am sticking to my guns and predicting Greeneville to break out offensively this week (They have to at some point). Greeneville's defense, I believe has proven itself to bend yet not break (11.67 ppg scored against). There are a lot of undefeated teams that can't boast that stat. However, as the D improves, so must the O. I went to the Chinese buffet last night and my fortune cookie says, Greeneville's D will find ways to limit South's attempts at long, time consuming drives, create a turnover or two, and the O will find ways to stay on the field longer. Greeneville 20-17 in a very exciting contest.

Sorry Barb, thats not the "round-ones" that I was referring to. I would have said balls but I don’t think you can say that on here…can you???

Well I got the cookie that said Greeneville better find a way to put points on the board, cause South doesn't need long , time-consuming drives like Boone did...they can pick us apart in the air fairly quickly. The defense has held up well but unless they find a way to score, its gonna be a long night.

    • A little confused.  What charter/prep schools made it to state in Baseball?
    • Fortuitously encountering Clint amidst the ambience of Goodyear this morning sparked an impromptu yet intellectually stimulating conversation, wherein we engaged in a rigorous assessment of prospective candidates for the esteemed role of head football coach. Our discourse, characterized by its spontaneity and depth, led to the formulation of astute observations and discerning judgments regarding the suitability of various individuals for this pivotal position. Allow me to elucidate the fruits of our collaborative contemplation: This commentary endeavors to offer a discerning articulation of my subjective viewpoint, emphasizing a conscientious commitment to maintaining impartiality and refraining from any semblance of derogation directed towards individuals.  Those who possess meritorious qualifications for the esteemed head coaching role, delineated without hierarchical precedence, include: Rennard Woodmore, an esteemed alumnus of the Yellow Jackets, presents a magnificent pedigree, having held prominent positions in head coaching capacities across various regions. His pivotal role as a coordinator for teams contending for state championships further enhances his stature in the realm of football leadership. Kyle Gregory, erstwhile adorned in the resplendent gold insignia, though lacking direct head coaching experience, brings to the fore his invaluable insights garnered as a coordinator for esteemed teams, showcasing an acute understanding of the requisites for triumph whilst attired in the esteemed purple and gold regalia. Steven Jackson, whose contributions transcended mere clipboard duties under the tutelage of Kevin Creasy, emerges as an exceptional candidate for Trousdale County. His prior tenure and triumphs as an assistant coach underscore his suitability for the role. The sole drawback lies in his lack of affiliation with Trousdale County as an alumnus. Brandon Eden's extensive tenure within the chronicles of Trousdale County football, spanning a significant portion of its State Championships, coupled with his successful stints as a coordinator across diverse locales, underscores his candidacy despite a dearth of direct head coaching experience at the high school level. Davy Cothron, while beset by a modest playing career, has emerged as a luminary in offensive strategy, drawing parallels to the transformative appointment of Barker in 2015, thereby warranting consideration for his proven acumen in this realm. Joshua Hackett, notwithstanding his non-alumnus status, has left an indelible imprint across Middle Tennessee, distinguished by his adept curation of formidable defensive units as a coordinator at Watertown, albeit without direct head coaching experience. Kevin Creasy, the epitome of coaching prowess, merits an offer irrespective of his current inclinations, his unparalleled capacity to secure victories transcending geographical and institutional bounds, potentially extending to a role as Director of Schools should it align with his aspirations. Conversely, individuals who have not demonstrably earned the mantle of head coaching, enumerated without sequential precedence, encompass: Brad Waggoner David Barker Paul Pitts Jeremy Pruitt Clint Satterfield Robbie Atwood Wesley Satterfield Ben Johnson BJ West Whom do you all deem most fitting to assume the mantle of the next coach, and what rationale informs your choice? Conversely, whom do you perceive as ill-suited for the role, and what underpins your reasoning for their exclusion?
    • He's a Clinton fan.  But I wouldn't admit that either.
    • Their any schedule out their for team camp?
    • This sums it all up to perfection.
