TennTarpon
There is a separate thread for scores you know. Don't know if we need a separate thread for this match if all you plan to tell us is the score.

It is no worse then some of the other post listed. Have you seen the scores post lately? Lot more then scores being posted. If Coach T has NO PROBLEM THEN YOU SHOULD HAVE NO PROBLEM! /mad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="mad.gif" />

BigG
I'm with MustCoach on this one... no harm in having a seperate thread for C.D. If no one wants to comment on it, it will quickly fade into the Netherworld of page 3 threads. Congrats CD!
mouse21
I'm with MustCoach on this one... no harm in having a seperate thread for C.D. If no one wants to comment on it, it will quickly fade into the Netherworld of page 3 threads. Congrats CD! Thanks BigG, It was a great game. The 1st game was a 1-1 draw. This game looked to be ending up the same way. no score in the 1st half. In the 45 minute C-D scored from just outside the box off a penalty kick. That would hold up until the 74th minute until Elizabethton had a series of shots at the goal and 1 found its way in. Then in the 77th minute C-D got a great chance for a cross and found the net for the game winner. It always comes down to these 2 teams in this district and is always a great physical game. As for state well we will have to get through regionals and what I call sub-state(sectionals). If they dont make it it will not be from lack of heart. Most of these girsl never even kicked a soccer ball until they got to high school. Coach Ricker does an awesome job with these girls. All we fans need is for these young ladies to realize what they are capable of and to keep coming together as a team and we may just see ya there. If not this year next for sure. Zeek
Chuckey Daok wins over Elizabethton 2-1 tuesday night. This is one of the things that make high school sports so great - winning a close game against a nearby rival. We've all been part of games like that either as a player, fan or parent. Good stuff. Congrats to CD.
soccerlife
Chuckey-Doak and Elizabethton met again this time for the District 1A/AA Championship on Tuesday night the game was scoreless until Chuckey-Doak scored with less than 5 minutes left in the game. The headlines read Defense wins Championships, and if you were at this game you would believe it... Defense on both sides were strong, but the Chuckey-Doak Lady knights were a bit stronger only allowing 1 shot on goal excluding corners all night. This was a very hard fought win for the lady knights. There was a yellow card for unsportsmanlike conduct on Elizabethton player then a RED for Blantant pushing from behind, again on Elizabethton.... Both goalies had an awsome game with Elizabethton goalie making several great saves one early on, direct kick for a foul inside the box. Chuckey-Doak goalie had only 1 hard shot that the defense didn't turn back, in stoppage time and she made it look easy. The players of the game for both sides would have to be "DEFENSE" they were great, both sides played their defensive lines tough and hard, Chuckey-Doak has made some changes this year and they have been awsome, Great job and hats off to Coach Ricker she changed one of the toughest positions midway through and it has worked she moved a forward back to sweeper and they never looked back. Sweeper is Emily Adams a Junior, does a great job back there. Talks well and pushes forward, Senior Jessica Mathes also had an awsome game on defense, she was unbreakable. Both of these girls I think made All-Tournamet Team. The Offense for Chuckey-Doak worked hard and took alot of hard battles to get the ball, and they NEVER gave up. C-D Senior Chelsea Morrison was offensice MVP she worked very hard and also drew the foul that ended with a red card for the Cyclones. final score 1-0 Go Lady Knights !!!!!!
