Your right about one thing, its going to get exciting but let me guess, your going to pick against Riverdale in the next for games. Your the one that needs to open your eyes and see that Riverdales Defense is the real deal and thats what wins championships. I guess at the end of the year if Riverdale wins it all you'll already be talking about next year and how they'll be going down....Its ashamed you can use true football knowledge in making your predictions instead of basing it soley on your hatred for Riverdale...

I don't hate Riverdale, in fact the only time I want them to lose is when they play us. All I am saying is Riverdale is not a world beater, and that they are very vulnerable. They have issues on offense, defense, and the kicking game. Now the last time I checked, this includes every aspect of a football team. What I am saying is at this time there are no clear cut favorite to take Region 4 5A. I say that it is up for grabs for Smyrna, Lebanon, Lavergne, Wilson Central, and Riverdale.

shut up, yall kissed BAs dline on the lips giving them all kinds of credit, stinks to know that aint even the best dline you will face this year huh. record shows we are better than everyone in the region (until WC gets their chance to tie it up with our off week atleast). rankings show we are better than everyone in the state. now these things are irrelevant if we cant hold up to them, why else would i mention then ifi didnt "believe" we will?

smyrnas not the only one who "believes" by any means. i believe smyrna will "leave" the regular season with atleast 2 more losses.

Sorry to say this little fellow, but you sir are wrong. I would not worry about Smyrna until October 26th, and keep my attention on Lebanon. You will have a chance to beat your chest, or make excuses on October 27th.

sorry to say this litte bulldoggie, but you mrs (do you know what they call female dogs?) are wrong. if for whatever reason we have to make excuses, i will already have PLENTY to borrow from you smyrna folk from this season. what kind of team is 5th in their region but #6 in the state? people give smyrna WAY to much respect, but you wont get none from me (due to fans like you who smear their teams names, but there are individuals at smyrna i respect)

why do you step up time after time to just get smacked down?

You are getting way to carried away little man. I have done nothing to you but to point out your weaknesses. Did you even play a sport in high school, or are you the typical jock snif_ _r?

I believe you meant RB 21 if you were talking about Riverdale & that would be VANHOOSE.. we have a 2 (McClain) 6 (Lee) 7 ( (Ebalarosa) & a couple of others that sub in & out but hoose holds onto the ball GREAT!! Warriors Great to see the TEAM SPIRIT on the side (especially w/ no band to get the crowd going) yall kept the crowd loud & crazy.. Travis was doing some serious drilling on the field (nice to see) & some serious leading off the field (really nice to see) Pope (some REALLY great blocks!!) only bad points were the flags being thrown on the o-line...but i think we expected flags to be thrown in DC just did not know when & where.. Nice Win!! & nice 2 see Boykin back!! 6 & O .. Congrats WARRIORS!!

Did want to say that DC did give it their all & played really well & their crowd was awesome..really nice people there.. thanks for the hospitality & the homecoming show was nice..

I think if you go back and READ my post i was refferring to DC#27 i kno hoose is 21 and ebal is 7 and mcclain is 2 which by the way was a bull crap celebration call against him and joey. jeremy had ran ran from the other end of the feild and they jump up congratulaing each other and was given the unsportsman flag that was a BAD call in my opinion it was good to see paul back he is a playmaker out there and i am glad he will be full speed down the homestretch of region play.

I also saw travis and micheal getting blocks down the feild they are really good i am proud of them and how good they have become

I am also very proud of hoose it is great to see a player like him WORK HIS TAIL off and get rewarded and he is a great example for all of the YOUNGER WARRIORS

and WHERE WAS OUR BAND?

I am not sure what game you saw or what you have seen but while there are all facets of the game that any good football team would always wan to improve doesnt mean they are weak..while our secondary could improve and they have each week I hardly find it vulnerable..our kicking game has been solid all year i am not sure what the weakness is there but i know that each week there is work to be done to improve what team isnt trying to improve ..while i will agree with you to an extent about our offense being vulnerable the players run it well.. with our offense though you have to score everytime and if you fumble or turn it over on downs it does hurt but sometimes you gotta credit the other team for doing their job I will also agree that region 4 5A is up for grabs i like our position right now and i am anxious for our next opponent GO WARRIORS

Band can't find Dickson County. They only have maps to the Carribean and Hawaii. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

A couple of years ago it was the same thing only one of the parents took her boom box and we had a great time in the stands. She also played it LOUD to entertain the DC tailgaters that were in the same parking lot with us R'dale faithful. Road trips are fun! /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

    • I've always been a football fan first and then if you have a band that's awesome. No question that DB has one of the best bands in the country and the whole region should attend at least one DB game just to see their band. I don't know if Nick Saban could come to Kingsport and build a football program that could match the Dobyns Bennett band's success. That said,as mentioned before, a couple of things would have to change in order for the Tribe to just win a state championship on the field.Besides a program that starts from the peewee teams and goes all the way to J Fred with all coaches and weight training { in time }on the same page. Sometimes it also takes a little luck like the 1998 Vols .There are a lot of great athletes at a lot of big schools around the state and just because you want something doesn't mean your going to build a program like Alcoa has. Yes,start at the bottom and have guys that are quality coaches teaching at every level is 100% the first step. Parents can make it a lot easier by getting their young athletes into an early start with conditioning and weights as well when they are old enough to lift.If your son is a man in the weight room before he gets to DB , then it won't take a "Dobbs" coach to make him competitive against other schools athletes when it comes to strength.
    • Dyersburg scrimmaged South Gibson last week
    • A complete cultural change happened at Greeneville and the administration and community opened up their checkbooks.  What a lot of people don't know is Ballard was Zeller's OC for many years and stopped coaching for two years because Zeller and Ballard didn't see eye to eye on some things.  Zeller lead Greeneville to it's first ever Semi Final appearance in 2000 and lost 28-12 at Maryville and had them in the Quarter Finals in 2002 and 2003.  Z was a great coach but lost some control when it came to making workouts mandatory. (He learned from that Mistake and it was at LC when i coached with him.).  Z was let go going into my Senior Year and was replaced by Steve McCurry who was the one that turned the program around.  Steve had won a 4a state championship at AC Reynolds in Asheville and made the administration completely redo the weight room with new equipment, had a football period at the end of the school day to lift, started devil camp, and brought in coaches like Danny Bentley (Still the OL coach), Ballard as the OC, Cody Baugh (QB coach and still there), and even Spradlen who is Greeneville's head coach now as the DB's Coach.  McCurry only coached for two seasons at Greeneville and took a team that had a losing record the year before and finished my Senior Year making it to the Quarters and having a 10-3 record and then followed it up with a Semi Final appearance the next year with an 11-3 record and back to back conference championships.  Loved McCurry to death but the recession hit and the story i heard was he was still buying new equipment for the team that the Principal didn't authorize and his response was "I don't answer to you and only to Niswonger and Bewley" (Two huge donors).  That was it for him and they Promoted Ballard shortly after that.   Greeneville had always been relevant ever since the the late 70's under Coach Fred Sorrell's.  Since Sorrell's took over in 1977 Greeneville overall winning percentage is over 76%.  The biggest reason people might not have thought Greeneville was "Good" until Ballard was Greeneville always played up Classification wise and could never get over the hump. (When there were 3 classifications we played 3a, when it went to 5 we played 4a).  Greeneville is the largest its ever been with 953 students and where playing teams 2 or 3 times there size back in the day (I had a little over 800 kids in the school when i graduated in 2008).  Other teams always would know they would be sore after a game but depth took over and never won a Championship until Greeneville played in the classification the TSSAA actually assigned them. You had names like Dustin Moore (1993 Mr Football for 3a and who Phillip Fulmer said was one of the greatest athletes he ever recruited), James "Mud Turtle" Mayes, Brigham Lyons, Byron Gillespie, Frankie Debusk (National Champion Qb at Furman with GQ), Jasmine Lowery, Cody Baugh, The Greenway Brothers, Joe Watson (Furman), etc.  Now the cultural is from the Pee Wee league up and you grow up as a young kid wanting to wear the Greene and White.  Here is a really good link when it comes to anything Greeneville Football related. https://greenevillefootball.com/   I also don't coach anymore.  Z told me i was to smart with how the school systems are ran these days and ended up going into real estate in Knoxville which has been a great decision for my life.
    • Yes, they will. I'm wondering what kinds of strides Sale Creek will make heading into the second season under Coach Fitz.
    • No yellow stripes on the rug last night. Biggest crowd I’ve seen at 825 since the alco debacle.
