With Overton coming off a big win over HL and Gallatin coming off a tough loss to Antioch, will Overton win at home like they did 2 years ago or will Gallatin get another road win. Don't forget this week it's a Thursay game as well as starting at 7 instead of 7:30.

I stated on another post that the loss to Antioch was the first since 04' but how could I forget the spanking that Overton put on Gallatin in 05'. Gallatin almost went 2 years without a region loss but it was still a good run. I hope to see a Gallatin team with a desire to win this week. The fans haven't given up hope there is still achance that Gallatin wins region but they have to take care of thier own games 1st starting this week. Good luck wave see you off Franklin Rd. on Thursday Night.

Point blank-Gallatin can not afford to lose this game. The way this region is playing out we don't need to tie Hunters Lane or Overton for the final spot(if Overton was to win Thurs). Wave fans should also be pulling for a Hendersonville win over Antioch to give them 2 losses in the region.

Overton has a strong rushing attack with White and Jackson. And Pieratt is a terror on the defense at linebacker. I really thought that Overton would be a little more dominant then what they have shown so my guess is the line play is not as good as it has been. The Wave hasn't seen this type of rushing attack since Mt Juliet so I hope we will be ready.

Wave88 I also remember the beating we took last time we played at Overton. I think we turned the ball over 8 times on the night. Terrible! I am not sure about our health coming into this game either. Zack O'Brien and Wright's loss last week was a hard blow on the passing game. Hopefully the team will realize how important this game is and rise to the occasion. I would hate to be sitting at home when the playoffs roll around.

    • A lot of people don’t realize how valuable JMO was. QB, safety, punter and holder on pat’s. Kid did it all. I fully believe if he was healthy Dburg would have made it to the ship last year.
    • If Dyersburg quarterback who is also starting safety hadn’t got hurt it would of another blowout
    • For perspective the county school I’m associated and graduated from only has 7,600 people in the entire county with a median age of roughly 47. That’s not very many 14-18 year olds to choose from. I think the football team had 25-28 kids or around there.  On the other hand Shelby County has 916,000+ with a median age of 36. This isn’t just about Shelby county, but all the big ones with huge economic advantages!  An urban/rural split would benefit tons of smaller schools that have to compete with counties with 120x the amount of people. Especially the ones who can pick and choose their players from a pool like that!   I also agree with Pujo about charter and magnets and they will eventually be phased into the private divisions because it is obviously an advantage plus all the funding! Add that county schools can’t go recruit outside of their county like charters and magnets!
    • They should be starting next week and go from there.  They never do Spring Practice in April
