so what all does grundy have? how bad will central beat them heading into the polk co game? by the way central beat tellico 47 2 0. it was 35 2 0 in the first quarter!!

Sounds good, picking us to win out! We will have to wait on those who attended the game to know about GC. Congratulations on the win, no doubt could have been much worse, shows a lot of class not to run up the score when you have the chance. Tellico is very young and inexperienced, saw that last week. Good luck to the Chargers! GO CHIEFS!

If you think that your just going to run all over Grundy guess again, last time the game was in Mcminn your fans started off laughing at us and taunting us as we warmed up, Then we hung 52 on you guys at YOUR homecoming.....

hey Smokey, Think Grundy came out over confident even there warmups consisted of standing around and talking, it was really weird. #7 QB was the monster for them he has one bad thing against him, he did not like to be hit, he would actually jump and spin right before he got hit. Grundy had a hard time with personal fouls, they had maybe 5 or 6 at crucial moments of the game. Their coaching was really agressive, they even went for two point conversion at the end of the game instead of trying to tie things up (but field goals were hard to come by for both teams, a combined 1 for 5 in extra point tries). To sum Grundy up they like to pound it off tackle with the read option, they maybe threw 3 times all night. GO CHIEFS!!

It sounds like these young whipper snappers really got after each other tonight. I hope everyone came out injury free.

Had some big hits tonight, Storm Corvette took a big hit but hung in there tough and their right tackle Bell had a limp early but also hung in there tough. Overall a little sore but winning the game will make the pain go away. GO CHIEFS!!

Is Ron Summey the coach for Sequoyah?

Yes, GO CHIEFS!!!

you may be right..i don't remember....but guess what? this is a different team! no disrespect to seq, but if yall struggled and LOST to them, a team central beat easily? come on man...you are in for a beat down. 52 points two years ago or not, that has nothing to do with this game! you are just the next team in line to under-estimate the chargers and then get blasted on friday night. better start respecting this team boys! by the way, there may be 52 points scored at charger stadium next friday, but i doubt it will be on the visitor side of the scoreboard.

    • Eagleville hosting shows laziness on the part of the TSSAA and a complete disregard for the appearance of impartiality. Absolutely nothing against EHS. Its not their fault TSSAA is lazy.    I understand EHS staff work the games at Eagleville, and they don’t want to miss the EHS games. However this isn’t rocket science. It would take less than 1 hour to cross-train EHS and RHS volunteers at the opposite sites. If Eagleville (or any host)  makes the tournament, flip their game site and have the volunteers flip sites for the days their school plays at the opposite site. Magically the school’s fans would be present to watch the their kids play and the kids at least lose some familiarity and home field advantage.  It takes almost no effort and is a ~15 minute extra drive.
    • We feel the pain!
    • Jason Lambert should be the only choice for the Baseball coaching position.
    • From the stats I found online it looks like Gabe Eddington- .484, 44 total hits, 43 runs scored and 42 stolen bases.Meanwhile, on the mound, the Austin Peay commit had a record of 8-2, while compiling 50 innings pitched with an ERA of 1.82. Carson Parrott - 7-0 overall as a starting pitcher with a 1.41 ERA, 95 strikeouts and a save in 53 and 1/3 innings pitched. Parrott hit .392 with 3 home runs, 21 RBIs with a .566 OBP and .716 SLG. Jaxon Walker - .454, 53 hits, 38 RBI’s, 9 HRs.   Not saying the other three aren’t deserving but Quillen had better BA than all three and was just as dominate pitching.  Like I said I don’t know how you leave off the 3a Baseball player of the year last year when he put up better numbers.  I know Greeneville’s Coach wasn’t happy about it saying “I don’t give a s*** what anybody else says. That kid is the best player in Tennessee, and everybody else on our team rises to his level“.  I’m sure winning another State Championship as a junior is more important to Carson than the individual award, it’s just a head scratcher to not be nominated
