As a new Lions fan I have to say on paper this one should not be even close. But Lions please remember no game is ever won on paper. Come out strong and finish up the same way. Good luck from A'ville....

We appreciate having you on the Lions Fan Team !! Thanks for the good words from A'ville!!! /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />

just got today..this prolly wont matter but Houston County's 2 starting running backs D.K. Conyers and Kevin Wimberley quit today...they also played safety, punt returner, punter and D.K. played corner and field goal kicker so its a pretty big loss...also quit was starting center(i have no name) and also starting linebacker Donnie Kirkland...just letting Camden fans know...should be even more of a whoopin..

Well I hope this finally convinces Houston Co's administration to get rid of Busey and look for someone who can help build the program. He's been there for about a million years and I think its been long before then that the Irish had a competitive team. So are they even going to have enough to man the field? From what I understand they only had about 30 to start with... /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />

I agree Lions 4 Ever. Houston County has had some good athletes who can make big plays and make things happen. Their bigggest problem is the coach. They need to find someone like Coach Ward who will build a progrsm quickly and it will be consistent. But with these boys quitting it ain't gonna help HC"s chances in any form or fashion. Good Luck HC with the remaining players and on the rest of your season. Camden just stay safe in the game tomorrow night we still have a few more region games left.

Coach Ward, being the nice guy that he is , won't run up the score too badly, but the danger in playing this stretch of cupcakes coming up is that it is difficult to keep sharp leading into the playoffs. If you look at Camden's schedule: Milan, Huntingdon, Westview are good teams. Peabody is mediocre. Stewart County has won some games, but that was against terrible teams and they lost to Gleason, so I'm saying they're weak. Northside will provide a challenge. The rest, Waverly, Riverside, Adamsville, and Houston County are just horrible. I suppose it is a good thing to get to rest starters , have a chance to get injured players well and develope depth by playing young players but I would worry about the strength of this schedule. Anyway, just throwing out some thoughts. Good luck this week against the Fightless Irish. I'm going to go watch the USJ airshow at Westview.

That's why we play the non-region schedule that we do...nothing we can do about in region games which are weak at best. But right now the cupcake schedule will help out...we can get some of our injuries healed without worrying about a region loss. I do, in principal, hate ending the season with the weaker teams on the schedule, but looks like this year it'll be a God-send.

    • Groves got the ball over 20+ times. His son arguably played the best for East in that game. 3rd and long multiple times and he came up big to continue a couple drives. Please shut up for the 3rd year in a row
    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
