i dont know if it was a fluke or not but last week cw found success against DLs defense in the first half. im not takin anything away from DL they are a great team. im just sayin that cw found some success against DL early. maybe giles can too.

So you are saying that 35-0 was successful? I bet Giles county hopes they are that successful!!

Got a little bored and figured I would venture on over here to this Middle Tn. matchup. I've never seen Giles Co. play before, but I do know that they apparently gave Lipscomb a scare last year in the playoffs if I'm not mistaken. I played against Lipscomb in the championship game last year, so I know they are a very good football team. Big, strong, and they do have some speed in all their tailbacks. It wasn't enough speed for my Falcons, but still, a good, fundamental football team. Someone said something about Lipscomb ending a possible State run for Giles last year, but feel better knowing they would not have won it anyways. Us Fulton Falcons and a guy by the name of Dennis Rogan knew all year long that 3A was ours, as it should have been the previous year. We beat Livingston Academy and were sick that we got beat by Catholic by 1 because we knew Livingston couldn't hang with us. Seeing how they beat DL....should've been 4 in a row in 3A for Fulton. Anyways, good luck to DL and just for the record, if Catholic does knock Fulton out this year, I'll be pulling for the Mustangs to win it all. Everyone in 2-3A hates Catholic, they are a bunch of punks.

Creekwood turned the ball over 3 times within Lipscomb's 15, you take away some stupid mistakes on Creekwoods part and they were right in it that ball game. They basically handled Lipscomb like nobody else has except for 2A Goodpasture.

Regardless of what the partakers of the plentiful amount of Haterade think, Giles County has a team that will give Lipscomb all they want. EVERYBODY at GC respects Lipscomb but NOBODY fears Lipscomb.

What is "Haterade"???? Is that the second coming of "Gatorade" or "Powerade"????? /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

I am going to wait until Thursday to give my prediction on this one. I don't want anyone to be using a post of mine as "motivation" for this one. We all know that occurs ALL THE TIME right???? /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

If you've watched "The Longest Yard" and saw "Cheeseburger Eddie" THEN you haven't heard the whole story.

He ain't got nothing on David Lipscomb's version of "Cheeseburger Jeremy" so as T.O. stated in his note last week BETTER GET YOUR POPCORN READY /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />

Haterade is the drink of choice among those people who have a tendency of hating on their opponents before they play, or even know anything in depth on thier opponent.

from what i understand some DL fans are worried about the seating the GC fans are sitting on the visitor side now and the visitors sitting on some portable bleachers in front of the old home bleachers don't worry you will have more room than we did at your place last year.

Next to Montgomery Central, Lipscomb has one of the smallest visitor seating areas in the region. The facility was built when Lipscomb was a Class A school back in the early 80's. It is one thing the school needs to do something about. If that is where we sit, we will have to just endure it. However, over the years, the Lipscomb faithful sees empty seats on the home side, we will go and sit in them. Its even happened at Goodpasture.

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
