I see that Phillyfan is back gushing over his mighty rebels! How deep are your roots in Franklin Phillyfan? A 10 pt win over the "burros"? Is that enough to convince me that Franklin has arrived? What do you think Phillyfan? Can the Rebels battle the upper tier Metro teams come post season? What's with the trouble with Columbia? On another note, it seems to me that word on the street is the Rebels have some unruly fans in the stands this year, what's that all about. A buddy of mine teaches at Columbia and he said yall were "nasty" all night long, especially at the scores table. I bet Phillyfan is the ring leader!

the trouble with columbia is the fact that this was the third time franklin had played them in the past 30 days. i'd say beating any team three times in thirty days is pretty good (unless its hillwood). Franklin can battle with upper tier metro teams as well, but antioch is the only team that they would struggle with. although any team in the mid state would have trouble with antioch becasue they run it.

Talk is cheap!!!! Until you guys go out there and actually do something, button it. When was the last time you beat Franklin? We heard all this jibber-jabber last year, you said you were good enough to beat us last year and it didn't happen. You are right, Centinnial is a good team. But until you commit to the total all around game, you will not beat Franklin. This was the year everybody says is "the Year" to dethrone Frankin. Bring it On!!

That's my point. The past couple games, we've been playing no where's near where we are capable of. I've seen what happens when we play smart and are on our game. I've seen Preston drive in and slam over another guy. I've seen Allante get a good look at the basket and sink it. I've seen Drew stay patient while double-teamed and make the beautiful move inside. I did not see any of that against Brentwood. I said we're good enough to beat Franklin because I honestly think we are. They have the potential, its up to the team if they want to use it to its full extent every night. Because like you implied, it's time to put up or shut up.

Yeah, 3 times playing a team is tough, need to talk to the scheduler about that one!

Yes, one fan was. I am not the ring leader, so don't use yall. Columbia had a fan calling our players jerks, but I guess that is ok. I am just so glad you have crawled out form underneath your rock to "try" and talk basketball with us. Metro is no problem this year, outside of Antioch of course. We don't care if you are not convinced if Franklin has arrived because we don't care about what you think. Go work on gang control and learn something about middle tn basketball. Boy, I can't wait for this educated reply!!!

Wow, you are getting out of hand, no place on here for those comments. I thought you had at least an ounce of class, but I was wrong.

I'm going to have to disagree with you here. I think the Consiglio kid is definitely the most talented from what I witnessed against us on Friday. I still say Blake is "average", but we will see what happens the rest of the season. That is merely just my opinion. I also got to see his brother play some and yes, they are totally different. I agree with gplx2, he looks alittle robotic on the court. I will also disagree that their Coach Henrie will be able to help him as he is usually so busy with self promotions, but then again we'll see. Anyway, I believe when Baugh gets back Carden will see much less playing time and more bench time.

Carden's game will improve greatly when Baugh gets back. Blake will be a great 2 or 3 on the court and I think he is doing an awesome job running a position that is not his strongest. Obviously the team has a lot of faith in him to put him at point. So in no way will he see more bench time. Consiglio is a great shooter but I am not sure I would put him as the most "tallented"....but not sure if anyone could clam that on this team. Way too early to tell.

    • I believe that was last year. I was interested in the Jones vs Baker comment, so I went back and looked at GC. I am not a fan of either nor am I a baseball guru. This looks like to me the duel was not close and if the errors would not have been made Eagleville would have won. I assume you are a little biased. I do think your mph for Jeffcoat and Baker must be from last year.  Baker-85 pitches 67 strikes. 5.2 innings, 5H, 1BB, 0ER and 7K's. 3 errors  Jones- 78 pitches 37 strikes. 4 innings, 2H, 5BB, 0ER and 1K. 1 error   Adams and the UH kid are really good as well. What about South Pitt and Oakdale? I heard they have some good ones.
    • I hate this for all the kids in the program and fans alike. I can't recall of anything like this before in my lifetime but I'm sure it isn't a first. After criminal investigations are complete and the TSSAA looks into this the program it will be facing Nuclear Winter for some time to come. It's always the innocent left behind that end up paying the price for something someone else has done. I'm sure the transfer portal will be very active in Clinton over the summer months. How could you find a good coach worth his salt that would take on a situation like this not knowing what will happen.
    • I’ve seen Jeffcoat in person twice and he was 84-87 both times and the one time I saw Baker he was low 80’s, he actually got out dueled by Jones from ER in that outing.
    • Pirate fans, thread is up on the baseball message board.
