Top three look correct until one of them is beaten. Like I always say thouhg polls are stupid and pointless thank god we have a playoff system rather than poll system deciding the true #1...

polls are useless i HS football. The only thing they got right was the number 1 team. Spots 2-10 are a crap shoot.

Where would you put them? I think that WHH win over Jo Byrns was a weird one. Kinda Like Mt. Pleasant going down to Wayne County or Trousdale going down to Watertown. Just kinda a weird thing where in all honesty if the teams played 10 times then the favorite would win 8 or 9.

 

I see Lookout Valley as being a weird one on this list. I know that they have only lost 1 game and it was to South Pitt but lets break it down a bit.

 

They have a 7-1 record.

 

Out of thier games the opponents record is 27 - 30.

Of the 6 opponents they have beat their opponents have gone 19 - 30.

They have only played two opponents that currently have winning records, Silverdale academy and South Pitt.

 

I mean they have played one Legit team, and got blown out 6 - 41. Their record is very deceiving.

 

*For these stats I did not factor in Taft Youth Institute's record, I could not find their record on coachT and although I assume it is a losing record I decided to leave it out.

I don't really look at who is in what order but who they put there. Hampton????? I know there are 10 other teams in 1A better than them, they just have to come off of the mountain to figure it out..... Also lookout Valley????? yeah right another mountain team.....let them move west of cookeville and see what happens....maybe a little above .500 and that is about it....maybe a 4 seed in the playoffs and that is about it.....

I think they are making a mistake by leaving another west Tn. team out. Only McKenzie is on the poll from regions 7 and 8 while region 5 has 3, 6 has 2, 3 has 2, 4 has 1, 1 has 1, and 2 has 0 in the top ten. There are some good teams on here but maybe some that are left out.

 

Midway from region 2 looks pretty good on paper.

I'm not sure about region 8 but surely someone from that region should be mentioned.

With the Absence of JCS To 2A Region 8 is Owned now By TCA. And They Are Very Balanced.

While I appreciate the voter confidence until we make it through at least round 3 unscathed I'm not sure SP is top 10. The poll means squat at this point. Just something fun to argue about...nothing more...nothing less
