whether a pass is catchable or not doesn't matter in high school football as far as pass interference is concerned.

One question, if pass interference is called on a 2 pt. conversion att. and the kid catches it anyway you can take the points or the penalty right? these Zebras gave them the points and then penalized the interf. call on the kickoff. Is that right?Maybe it is but I thought it was points or penalty.

That was one of the better football games that I have seen in a long time. Congrats to Coach Turbyfill and his staff for doing a remarkable turnaround. Very few gave them a chance to even make the playoffs. I just wish we had more fans in attendance. We had better show up next week because Hampton will be bringing a bunch of fans. This will be one heck of a game at Orr Field. BTY I just finished looking at the Johnson City Press. It is a shame that they didn't even cover the game. Even got the score wrong.

Hey cornydog, I'll have some wine to go with a sweet victory! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> The bottom line is we won the game. We dominated but almost gave it away. Now the Blue Alliance are fighting for the title. That is the way it should be. No Creepers or Sad Valleys (the outskirts of Johnson City /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" ) representing Carter co. A sea of blue has washed through Carter Co. leaving the place sparkling clean as we have wiped the Creeker athletics off of the map and the same has happened to Sad Valley. Elizabethton who? Witten who? /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

Well, I am one of the idiots that left after the interception and didn't get to see the end. Anyways, I guess I had Grace way overrated cuz they looked very good down at Hampton and looked mediocre at Cloudland. The QB didn't seem like he could do much at all last night. He kept overthrowing the recievers even though they 6'5". He looked very sharp the other game that I saw him. Grace must have been careering it down at Hampton. But the best team clearly won. Cloudland dominated both sides of the ball. I can't wait till next week...

    • Honestly the A.D. may be powerless at Maryville to some degree versus other schools. I know he has his hands full with GoFan and all the stupid surprises just from the emails he sends out during the season.
    • Harriman was better than what I anticipated. They had good skill guys and a QB that’s gonna make a lot of teams look silly. They had some silly pre snap penalties but it’s just spring and I guess that’s expected.    Oneida looks the part. They are big upfront and got a stable of backs that’s gonna carry them this year. They have a few playmakers at receiver also. They have a new receiver that has only played basketball till this year and he is very athletic. The question is can we find a QB to consistently get them the ball. They played 2-3 kids there and none looked great but they didn’t look awful either. The  defense is gonna be tough again but it’s very early and a lot can change between now and the fall.     It was good just to get out and watch some ball. I don’t know if Oneida has the team to win the region this year but just what I saw tonight I think they may be in the conversation come November.
