Crockett Vs Dyer County

Hats off to the Choctaws /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> They went on the road and defeated a very good Trojan team last night. It'll be intereresting to see how they respond against a good Crockett County team as PA as done and outstanding coaching

job considering the graduation losses and injuries earlier in the season. The Cavs gave D'Burg all they could handle and should give Dyer Co. fits as well. I see the Big Orange taking the win and hosting a few games in the playoffs.

My Son told me some weeks back that they were "on a mission"! I acknowledged his comment (with a grain of salt). But this group will NOT overlook Crockett !Since then he & his teammates have made a beleiver out of me ! I have not seen the kind of focus or resolve in a Dyer County team since the early to mid 70's ! Much like Dyersburg in the past few years, Crockett has "spanked our bottoms blue"! So I would speculate that the intensity & focus will pick up Monday just as it has every week so far. D.C. has respect for the Cavs & Coach Pratts ability to prepare his players for the "BIG GAME" ! They are vaery aware of the Cavs desire to "steal their thunder" ! I will make no prediction for this game as I have not made a prediction all year, because I stand on the "ANY GIVEN FRIDAY NIGHT" theory. However Coach Renshaw after last nights victory over the Trojans was very emphatic about enjoying this victory over the weekend & come to practice on Monday ready to go to work. Additionally the loss to Mcnairy early, humbled the Choctaws & they came back with a vengance. I feel that they will continue to work hard & approach each game ONE AT A TIME ! On another note (only since the Dyersburg Thread has been closed) I would like to commend the scout team for D.C. for giving up their bodies all week long in preparation for last nights game. Peyton Lucas, Barbee & all the rest of you guys are to be commended for givin it up & doing everything you could to make your T-E-A-M as ready as posible for the Trojans. I know after things were as physical as they were last week that this is a lot to ask, BUT.... please put forth that same effort this week for the Crockett game ! You guys are a HUGE factor in the success thus far & hopefully the success to come! You have ALL MY RESPECT for a job well done all year ! KNOW THIS !! YOUR TIME WILL COME !

For now MAKE THOSE STARTERS WORK ! TAKE IT TO THEM ! FORCE THEM TO BE READY FOR A VERY FORMIDABLE CROCKETT TEAM ! THE CAVS ARE GONNA COME IN HUNGRY & NO OFFENSE, BUT I WOUD LIKE TO AVENGE THE "SPANKINS" THAT WE HAVE TAKEN OVER THE PAST SEASONS BY THE CAVS ! NO MALICOUS INTENT CAV FANS, Y'ALL ARE A CLASS BUNCH ! As for the post a few back they asked what DC had to lose well alot all the hard work this year was not just to beat Dburg or win the region it was to go all the way... I know Crocket County will be ready they always are..As for the CHOCTAWS get the big head not this TEAM they have been there done that back at Mcnairy... So they will get to work this week and work just as hard for CC just as they have been.. TO THE CHOCTAW NATION LETS PACK THE STADIUM THIS FRIDAY JUST LIKE WE DID DYERSBURG!!!!! I still cant get over the shock that Dyersburg lost but it was a wake up call for the Trojans!!!!!!!!!!This is the best D.C. team Dyer County have had in years but i dont think they r good enough to beat Pratt and his Cavs because they r well coach!!!!Dyersburg on the other hand are going to rip through the Chargers because of thier loss on Friday and the fact that they got beaten by Dyer County....they have to take their emotions out on somebody so its going to be Covington and everybody else that stand in their way for getting that Gold Ball they want.Practice is going to be hard, nothing but work, and on tiempo/beat for the Mighty Dyersburg Trojans this week;and they are going to be ready to practice on Monday so GET YOUR MOTORS RUNNING /motorbike.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":motorbike:" border="0" alt="motorbike.gif" /> /motorbike.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":motorbike:" border="0" alt="motorbike.gif" />

 

Well they were good enough to BEAT dyersburg and they had their motors running and we stoped them!!!!!!!

what will be a huge key in the game is if mosier can play for the cavs he missed the game against southside which if he plays the cavs win!!! he is the leader of a very young secondary which has lost there startin safety for the year a couple weeks back!! but i see d.c. coming out ready to play like everyone has said they takin some spankins from crockett the past couple years and even though they have the region locked up its a pride thing now so they will work hard and be ready friday night!!!

This should be a great high school football game! I don't remember any team in recent years playing to their potential as much as Dyer County does. Crockett is playing very well now, and will be dangerous. Their lineman are huge, even larger than Haywood's. They also have some good athelets and plenty of tradition and pride. But D.C. is just playing lights out and I'd have to give them the edge. As far as a possible Dyer County vs. Dyersburg rematch in week 13, both teams should be able to get through week 11 unscathed, barring a major letdown. But week 12 will be a war, and both will be severely tested before a possible rematch and larger stakes! By the way, the TSSAA has done some revamping in its playoff format this year and the winner from Region 7 and 8 will HOST the winner of Region 5 and 6 AGAIN this year. So Dyer County will not have to travel in the state playoffs unless they reach the state finals in Murfreesboro!!!!!

Well, the Choctaws were good enough to beat the Trojans & the Trojans beat the Cavs. So...... I can't see your reasonong behind this prediction. I have all the respect in the world for Coach Pratt, his abilities to prepare his team & the Cavs as well. As I have stated numerous times on here, I DO NOT MAKE PREDICTIONS. BUT ........... I DON'T THINK YOU WILL CATCH THE CHOCTAWS "FLAT" AFTER THE DYERSBURG VICTORY ! Additionally I don't think they will have the"BIG HEAD" This group has suffered enough humiliation in the past few years that I don't think that is in them. Come Monday, I can assure you it will be back to the "grindstone" for D.C. Coach Renshaw made that "CRYSTAL CLEAR" in his post game comments to his team. No one doubts Coach Pratt's abilities to get his team prepared for ANY opponent. But were you at the Dyersburg game ? If so do you think that the Choctaws were prepared ? Do not think for a single minute that the same amount of preparation & intensity will not carry over into the "Crockett Week" ! They (over the past few years) have embarrased the Choctaws just as badly as the Trojans ! Thus the same desire for redemtion will be on their minds. I will make a bit of a prediction regarding the Trojans ! I don't see them losing 2 in a row ! They are loaded with talent & I'd be sure that Coach Bowling will NOT give the players any peace until the final whistle blows against Covington. Maybe I'm mistaken, but after thinking about it....... you must not have been at J.C. SAWYERS STADIUM on Friday night past to say that Coach Pratt & the ever improving Cavs are going to just "steal the thunder" because of Coach Pratt's abilities. As I said I DO NOT MAKE PREDICTIONS, I only question your logic in predicting the demise of the Choctaws at the hands of Coach Pratt & the Cavaliers. Yes they ARE VERY WELL COACHED, But the Choctaws have a very stingy defense & an offense that spreads the ball around to every eligible receiver & ball carrier. All due respect to Coach Pratt, but it is simply hard to defend. Anyway I hope you are right about the Trojans (as I agree with you completely) but I respectfully disagree that the Choctaws are already defeated at the hands of Coach Pratt & the Cavaliers. Don't forget the Choctaws ALREADY ate their fill of "HUMBLE PIE" at the hands of McNairy County. I beleive that was a turning point to the success that they have since enjoyed ! They kind of like winning ! IT HAS BEEN A WHILE !

I would love to see Crockett win as they have had so many problems this year, but I don't think they can stop Dyer County...

 

I have pulled for Crockett all year as they have face adversity ALL YEAR, but I can't say I'd love to see them win (for obvious reasons) ! Crockett has whipped us for the past few years & I respect both their coach & program. BUT ........ it is TIME for DC to start evening the score ! I have a great deal of respect for Coach Pratt & the Cavalier program. But any CHOCTAW PLAYERS lurking around here the Dyersburg game is over ! I don't know about you, BUT ......... I have NOT forgotten last year AT CROCKETT COUNTY ! It wasn't pretty at all ! I'm not talking trash or revenge in a negative way, but I'm TIRED OF GETTING TAKEN TO THE WOODSHED at the hands of the Cavaliers !
