I feel bad for Ezell, their next opponent... They have no one to guard Z down low and they might to be able to stop Miller around the perimeter.

I highly doubt they will stop Miller, when he's on...there's no stopping him. Even if that happens...it's not going to mean much if they can't guard Z.

CPA gets its first taste of district 12aaa as they head to Mcgavock today.. After the watching the Pearl-Cohn game, which mcgavock scouts were in attedance, found the formula in beating CPA. they said it was simple run them up and down the court. Which is somewhat true. During the game at Pearl-Cohn CPA was getting beat up and down the court in the first half, but some good second half coachinf from Coach Maddux and some big Z heriocs got them past Pearl-Cohn despite low imput buy Hunter Miller. Mcgavock is similar to Pearl-Cohn but they shoot the ball alot better. CPA VS MCGAVOCK SHOULD BE A FUN GAME

Crazy district. FRA pulled out a big win at Pearl; East Lit clips MLK. I don't know the records, but it seems that CPA, as long as they hold off FRA and Lipscomb, will make it through unscathed. FRA and Lipscomb will battle for the #2 seed. But the way things look the #2 seed will have to beat MLK, East Lit, or MLK to get to region. Pearl will get it together (OT loss to Lipscomb and FRA and led CPA into the 3rd) and be dangerous. This is really the ultimate public v. private district in the state. It shows the multiplier may be warranted and it provides a great chance for kids from different backgrounds to compete and learn from each other, which it is really what it is all about. There are 8 solid programs here, they all play hard and respect each other. If there is ever a reason to keep publics and privates together this is it. I'm off my soapbox, great job 9AA.

CPA was up by 16 after 3 qtrs and held on to win by 3 over McGavock. Mason had 31 and Miller 26 for CPA. Good win for the Lions.

What always goes on with MLK? They always seem to start off very, very poorly but somehow pull it together by District Tournament time. Do you think that they can do their usual this year without Gerald and make some noise in the tournament?

And does anyone know where the 9AA District Tournament is being held this year?

The District Tourney is at MLK, and no, I don't think they'll have their usual late surge. They have an inexperienced team and the top of the District: CPA, DL, FRA, is too tough. Maybe in a few years.
