Last years game was a game of defense. Will it be the same or will it be an offensive shootout????

 

 

I think this game will be more of an offensive game. Antioch runs the spread and with the athletes they have, they are very dangerous with it. DC on the other hand runs that dang wishbone which is one of the hardest offensive styles to stop, especially with the players they've got. I just think Antioch O will be better though.

This game is simply up to Antioch's players. They have more material, but Dickson County is the type of team that can bleed a clock dry if you give them extra possessions. Davis and the other youngster Antioch plays at QB need to take care of the ball first, and foremost. If Antioch has less than two turnovers, they'll win this game. Otherwise, they open the door for a capable Cougar team.

This game was really closer than the score. With less than two minutes to go it was 32-29. DC was picked off on a screen play on 4th and 6, and it was housed. Next drive DC fumbled with less than a minute to go and it was housed. Antioch has some amazing athletes. #2 and #4 seemed to be on the same page offensively for antioch all night, hooking up for some amazing plays. DC turned the ball over 5 or 6 times, some of them just came from trying to do to much. Antioch stacked the box for the most part of the night and DC just gave them the business, stupid penalties and costly turnovers kept DC from advancing, but big props to both teams on a great game. Jus wanna say it was great watching the cougars play this year, and goodluck to the bears for the remainder of the playoffs.

score does not reflect how close a game it was. 6:35 left in game, DC holds bears to a field goal. 32 to 29. DC takes kickoff with plenty of time to run the ball down the field to get fg or td. But wait a minute coaches decide to take Shane Rayburn out of game and go to a spread offense and of all things pass the ball. Running game was great all night,and they decide to pass.Sorry but I did not understand that move at all. From this point it got crazy. Completed a pass but was fumbled. Bears got the ball and scored. Next possession third and eight with Rayburn on sidelines interception TD 46 to 29. DC played there hearts out and it was their game to win, but IMO the coaches out thought themselves in this game and they are the reason DC lost this game. Not taking anything from Antioch they are loaded with athletes,but I thought DC should have won. Antioch QB and WR no. 4 were unbelievable. Those two made some of the best plays I have ever seen on a football field. No. 4 has great hands, he caught everythihg thrown to him,and the QB put the ball where he could catch the ball. VERY IMPRESSIVE.

      Oh yeah, I’m sure you are different people just always on the same thread for some reason, always agreeing with each other, perhaps just a bunch of dorks who would like to ###### and moan about high school football coaches do a lot of other students, so you make a football team and get a yell at them. When they do something wrong, but I’m sure you don’t like that, do you?   and I’m sure I’m aware of where you get information. A teacher who was on the coaching staff but was fired after the new coaching and staff came in and realized he actually had to start taking his assistant job a little bit more seriously than just wanting to make a little extra cash on the side, hardly even showing up to most practices, should’ve left with his buddy to go to Farragut. I’m sure he could get him a defensive coaching job, but I doubt he will be there in three years. Looking at the way Farragut is currently going.

      It may be hard to believe but there’s more people than me that think you guys are a bunch of losers.    I’m sure the coaching staff, yourself included, cursed at a bunch of high school students. Nobody could name more than 3 coaches on staff due to the constant turnover.

      That's complete BS.  Nobody at ACHS has access to CHS student records unless a transfer is made from CHS to ACHS.

      Trez's last scandal has died down, so I guess this is there opportunity to be the best 4A team playing in 2A a la Sissy MTN.  At least they won't be in a Z-district with 1a teams in the regular season.

      Facts...until someone takes down the Rebels they should be the favorite. Got loads of young guys salivating at the opportunity to prove themselves and get a 3peat! Blazer how is Region 1 looking this year?
