Knox West @ Brainerd

Playoffs begin Week 1. This is a crucial matchup between 3-4A #3 and 4-4A #2....

 

This one has potential to be a barn burner..West is comming off of a 4 game win streak and riding their run into the playoffs. And it is my understanding that Brainard has some unreal speed @ their skill positions...other than that im not too familiar w/ them..

 

To any Brainard fans out there enlighten me on your program..

I think West is dangerous at the moment and I can see with a double threat on offense with both the running game & Passing game clicking and the defense playing well. I have a good feeling for the Knox Rebels on this one. I think West comes thru by a touchdown.

I don't think there are any Brainerd fans/players on here, I'd never heard of the school until I was looking into the possible teams West would play. They did lose to Austin-East at the beginning of the season when A-E wasn't playing that well. But that's about all I have to go by.

What does West have on its own team, if not athletes, scholars bowl contestants, marching band members, choirboys? I'm not picking on you, youthfootballfan, but I just don't like the imprecision in language that results from euphemisms for something which everyone is afraid to mention. It's Orwellian, totalitarian and Inquisitorial all rolled up in one because if they speak truthfully and frankly, well watch out, in classic Inquisitorial fashion, the arbiters of political correctness will label them a heretic in need of some public humiliation and repentance.

This figures to be a good game. While i enjoyed the last couple of games west has played. I think they went away from the pass to much. They need to get into a balanced offensive game plan for the playoffs. Over the last few years west has been a passing team, even at the begining of this year we threw the ball effectively. Yet the last two games we only passed when we had to. Hopefully we show the whole game west has.

that this one will be the best game. Using what I know about both teams...

from what I have seen and heard at Brainerd their speed/skill guys are not only fast but are big to and will hit you. They have skill at reciever, running back and full back. The red bank/brainerd game was one of the hardest hitting games I have seen.

Brainerd has a better team this year than they had when they played Maryville last year. When this team is on they are all on. They have players that can get very physical. It will be a fast moving game, if West slows their pace and controls their d-line it should be very close. Brainerd's montra is simple "party like a panther" that's just what they do.
